I'd go as far as to say I'm a lot more intelligent and knowledgeable than I initially portray myself and am often the wise man who acts the fool - preferring to unveil my superiority etc once I'm satisfied that the other party taken a false reading of me. I suppose that's a manipulation trait too. I'm not a dick about it and don't portray myself as better than people but quietly confident. I realise that I do have a small bit of narcissistic tenancy deep down but keep it in check to the best of my ability and I wouldn't say that it would be evident to others. This is relatable. I think it's due to the fact that if we satisfy our Fi child, then we can mimick those good emotions in an Fe way as well. But if we can't satisfy Fi then we will mimick those bad emotions in an Fe way. However, I still think that it's a higher proof for love if we try to be humble in relation to others when we are in a bad state as well. Because there's nothing special to treat others in a good way when you are in a good state.

It seems intj remain stable and healthy when they activate their Te parent before Fi child. When they are stuck in an Ni-Fi loop, however, they are illogically fixated on their opinions and use Te to extravert that. This seems consistent with your comment
@novaimperialis3 жыл бұрын
@@lordepichax3755 I already predicted the conclusion that you wanted to project from the moment you said about being stuck in the loop. I don't agree. What is illogical in my comment? I made no contradiction. Or is it that your definition of illogicality is related to expressing feelings, even if they are expressed in a logical and non contradictory manner? Should I just abide by society superficial standards of what is deemed logical which it pertains only to being "cold" and "calculating"? There are a lot of feelers who are cold and calculating including INFJs and they are far from being logical. Doorslamming you without even expressing their feelings as they don't even know their cause. Why? Because they don't submit their feelings to analysis. Their logic only gives them green light to their feelings without even analyzing them. Thinkers, on the other hand, express feelings, as any humans. Only that they express it from a very mechanistic way as this is our way of functioning and understanding. Before we express our feelings, we submit them to long analysis and we give a sequential explanation for how and why we feel this way. Feelers don't know where their feelings came from. While thinkers know the reason for why they feel a certain way and can articulate it in a concise manner after they have delved deep in introspection. There's no division between feelers and thinkers. Both use logic and feeling. And both processes are needed in interacting with our environment. That's the kind of mentality that promotes being lazy and remaining in your ego instead of actually developing what you lack. The Ni-Fi "loop" as you call it. It does the opposite of that. It makes you more conscious and aware. It's not that if you don't use it you are more logical. You are still human and you still experience feeling. It's that by being more conscious of it, you can actually direct it in a way that's conducive for your main way of being.
@lordepichax37553 жыл бұрын
@@novaimperialis you seemed to have missed the point of my comment. Perhaps I did not make it clear enough. You've built an ivory tower of assumptions based on a misinterpretation of a comment. You first mistake was believing I responded to your comment instead of the original commenter. I admit I should have tagged the OP, but you could gleam from the context that it was not intended for you. When I say "illogical" I'm saying that the intj will not do their due diligence in collecting facts, data, or strategizing before consulting Fi. In other words, they dont subject things they want/believe in to a form of logical assesment. From my understanding, a healthy INTJ should weigh whatever Ni finds by Te logic, before integrating it into Fi. Should Fi be placed above Te, they find themselves locked in an introverted loop, hyperfocused on an inner ideal, that is narrow in its views, using Te in an offensive/defensive manner in service of that world. Therefore, INTJs caught in such loops are seen as arrogant. Edit: Formatting
@novaimperialis3 жыл бұрын
@@lordepichax3755 Alright, my bad. I was worried that it was the main commenter since you had no tag on your comment, and this happens when you reply to a main comment, but I wanted to clarify the misconception and the feeling vs thinking dichotomy. Because while it's true that they should be balanced, the auxiliary, of which you are referring to, is not used in a legitimate manner either. Most of the time is used as a defense mechanism. So that logical, cold and calculating attitude, it is in fact a defense mechanism. Which you pointed out as well and I agree with you. Also, instead of saying logical and illogical maybe you should use objective and subjective. I think that this is a more accurate representation of the thinking process. It is true that it is Fi that activates the process(the socionics mobilizing function), but we get only an impression from it. Then, that impression is submitted to a long analysis, of which I mentioned in my last comment as well. We use Fi as a way of establishing our priorities and our new destination. By establishing our priorities, we establish our direction also, since those priorities form up our path, which has a final destination. Then the thinking process through thinking and intutition decides the probability and the validity of that direction. It's like we simply choose a direction, even tho, we don't commit to it entirely. We are flexible in changing it after seeing that it goes nowhere. However, it's true that we get very specific on the kind of information that could derail us from that direction. Where does our subjectivity and objectivity is present in our thinking process? Our subjectivity can be seen in the path that we choose, hence the role of the Fi mobilizing function which starts a process. Our objectivity can be seen in the process of testing that path to see if it is valid and changing it when necessary. Since we are irrationals first(socionics intuitive perceiving), then our way of starting the process is subjective, but since we are also rationals second, then that means that our subjective view gets refined it becames more objective over time. Thinking second or Te auxiliary, in socionics, is defined as being the producing or result function. So from what I gathered is that you can't be trully objective or logical if you don't first recognize your illogical and subjective human condition and worldview, to then move to a more objective and logical stance and view. So true objectivity remains an ideal for which you have to fight, but in order to even start the process of becaming or trying to reach it, it requires you to aknowledge your subjectivity first. I hope that I explained the process in an understandable manner. Also, are you an INTP or Ti dom by any chance? If so, can you describe your process as well?

I think they'd fit into three of the categories - 1, 2 and 4. The third category is covert narcissism, which doesn't fit the ENFP type. That being said, most people don't fit neatly into one type or another, so someone with strong ENFP qualities could display behaviors that partially overlap with covert narcissism. You can see in the ranking that all the other covert types are introverted, and that's not a coincidence. Especially the EF combination makes it highly likely for narcissists to express their true intentions very openly, which is why all four EF types can be found under Grandiose and Communal.
@lovelylittlegirl33323 жыл бұрын
@@ETBrooD I understand this, however, I think people greatly underestimate how introverted ENFPs can be. We are the most introverted extroverts. I would even dare to say, we are true ambiverts. Like for my test results, the only reason I ended up being typed as an extrovert is because I got 51% extroversion. That's almost 50-50! I am definitely more outgoing than most introverts and I can see why ENFPs might not normally fall into the covert type, but I do think certain ENFPs that live more in their introverted state then their extroverted state (perhaps due to cultural or environmental influences) would definitely fit into the covert type. ENFPs have Fi which allows them to mask their true feelings very well. A narcissistic ENFP may not be loud and grandiose, but may feel like an outcast which can lead to the "dejected artist" syndrome. Covert ENFPs would have victim mentalities and would use the combination of their functions to manipulate people to do their biddings for them. Remember that an unhealthy ENFP would be very manipulative. They would manipulate their victims into feeling like abusers and would seek pity or have this façade of being the victim to outsiders. A covert ENFP would put on a charming almost airheaded free-spirit façade for the world so that no one would ever believe their victims when they come forward about their abuse. Unhealthy Fi users are self-manipulating. They can easily drown themselves in the delusion that they are the subject of abuse, while they are in fact the abusers.

I'm in the here and now and just do what I do when necessary or interesting. If asked about the meaning of life, there are two practical answers: 1)We are here by chance and therefore everything is fundamentally meaningless and any meaning you and I derive is simply one's moral aesthetic/vanity. 2) or there is some superior/overarching purpose to existence/the universe, and therefore we must confront that truth and live by/against it as your perceived free will dictates. Assuming that we're talking about a secular ISTP, the first answer makes the most sense and is also the least restrictive mindset in simply allowing the present tense. In all earnestness, do what you want and I'll do what I want, tit for tat. We aren't *really* any more special than the other... But I'm still more special, just watch.

The function order of ENTJs is literally the formula for acquiring narcissistic or Machiavellian traits. It actually takes great effort to not develop these traits. It's a myth that ENTJs do not understand emotions- they are very good at manipulating them. They just don't value it as much as logic. An inferior Fi means that the little emotion they feel, is their own. It takes great attention to detail to hold them accountable because it takes a lot to break through the elaborate plans and calculations of the Ni and catch them in a lie. It's worse than ESTJs because usually ENTJs have an ulterior motive- they don't just want power for the sake of it, they actually want to bring their agenda to fruition too. If that agenda is literally "One Nation Underwood" then there's no way out. Edit- I edited this comment because people are confusing this as saying "ENTJs are inherently evil". I am one myself, so that would be an odd take on the matter. Because of the emotional disconnect, an ENTJ may develop Mach or Narc traits faster than others. That's just a tendency, choices are our own. Even after developing those traits, what to do with those traits is once again, our choice.

I disagree with you as an ENTJ I can confirm that many stereotypes are false and the some of the understanding of the ENTJ functions are very wrong and misunderstood.The fi inferior means that they are actually insecure about whether or not they are a good person because they are afraid that they aren’t the fi inferior means that they are slightly out of touch with their “selves” so it’s hard for them to know what they are feeling and if they are doing the right thing so it’s usually the fi inferior that keeps the ENTJ sane and not a bad person furthermore it’s the reason why they don’t care what others think of their moral principles because they are too busy trying to be a good person.The function order of ENTJs isn’t actually a formula for Machiavellians other wise the world would’ve ended long ago but it could sometimes take a dark turn in some people and reflect as dictatorship or an overly controlling person or a very ambitious person that would do anything to get what they want (that doesn’t always make them a bad person).

I say 'was' because he's softened up and improved somewhat with age, as some people do, though some of those tendencies remain in more subtle incarnations. He comes from a family filled with narcissists, as most narcissists do, and was the first among them to have enough of a sliver of self-awareness - not about the narcissism itself but about some of the destructive behaviors it caused - to work at some self-improvement, though not before spending decades abusing everyone around him.

They’re social creatures, people driven, actions and and announcements like these are only gonna stray them from society. Next I’m going to tell you how i think you should have argued this/how I would have argued this, People forget that MBTI started off of the 8 Jungian functions, letters like E, S or T are all just consequences of the functions and are therefore not really the main focal point and henceforth should not be the main judging criteria. Perhaps by displaying all the types functions and narcissism types we could find a trend and establish some correlations, and maybe after some deep diving and analysis, causation. I guess you are using the words "realism" and "reality" in their colloquial meaning of a pragmatic and 'no nonsense' attitude towards life, and no idealism towards human nature. In that case I agree with your comment entirely. Otherwise, if you're using the words in their philosophical meaning, you kinda claimed to have access to the ultimate nature of reality, which is a claim not even quantum physics can make
@tonamg533 жыл бұрын

@@tonamg53 I agree, nobody can have an objective and empirically demonstrable access to the nature of reality. We've been debating over it for millennia, and probably keep debating as long as the species is around. However, even if inaccessible, everybody subscribes to a model of reality, whether they are aware of it or not, and this model is based on an idea of what reality is ultimately made of, in other words its ultimate nature. Even if you pay no mind to silly philosophical speculations, you still assume reality is made of something. These days, in western cultures, this model is mostly materialism, the idea that the ultimate nature of reality is matter. For buddhists, for example, mind is the ultimate nature of reality instead. There are a lot of other possible positions, one of which is nihilism, if you assume at the basis of reality there is nothing. So, back to your original comment, you were right, technically you can't be a nihilist and a realist at the same time
@tonamg533 жыл бұрын
@@marcodallolio9746 I think most people got the “actual reality” mixed up with what their mind see as “reality”. Our brain perceived the actual reality and then “adjusted it” automatically into our own version which we are willing to accept. (basically its cognitive bias) So everyone probably have their own version of reality which will be slightly different with the actual reality. If it differ too far from reality, then that what most people would called “delusional”. So there is probably only a single reality that existed in the actual nature. It is what it is. How each person interprets the actual nature of reality, will be different. I’m just trying to see it as it is, as much as possible. I think it can helps us to made more informed decision.

INTJ narcissist, here. Every narcissist fluctuates through all of these archetypes but will be predisposed to one primarily. I'm of the malignant type attributed to my ASPD traits. With my neuroticism, I'd say that I'm "shadow focused" in my ENTP unconscious most of the time. I can come off as charming, charismatic and intuitively can figure people out to better know how to respond, accordingly. I openly disregard affective empathy but can implement cognitive empathy if there's a goal or outcome I'm achieving. During the initial stage of diagnosis, after accepting my condition I would watch dark psychology/disorder videos as well as research abstracts to fully understand the corresponding unhealthy behavior traits of "my kind". This was to essentially perfect the art of manipulation, exploitation, mind games, etc. I'm not going to lie and say that I didn't actively engage in toxic behavior to people but being aware and taking time to reflect, I'm not proactive in such behavior if unwarranted. It's nothing to do with morals, compassion, etc. It's just that for the most part, my superiority complex stops me from lowering myself to their inferior level by interacting with them. People aren't worth the time and effort to "taste my sadism". I still gain satisfaction from schadenfreude, though. Now, if people are antagonistic or just looking for trouble then they warrant my abusive tendencies upon them. I'd say that my worst trait overall is paranoia. I don't trust anyone and always feel like my girlfriend is cheating on me. The mindset almost akin to Paranoid Personality Disorder. If I'm capable of being abusive or hurting someone then there's no stopping them from doing the same to me.
