Psychopathy is highly correlated with Fe. In big five terms, low agreeableness and high extrovertion is a good indication of narcissistic or psychopathic traits. @@timefortee why wouldn’t it be? The absence of internal values and morals(Fi) means psychopaths need to adapt to society’s values in order to not be ostracized. Hence why they’re so charming and excellent at reading people. That’s not to say Fe = psychopathy, but psychopaths definitely use Fe.

This suffers from the fallacy that you need to be a Fe user to understand people or be charming. Is it just me or does it seem that we INFPs are much more capable of having psychopathic tendencies? Sure, I'm really empathetic and care for everyone and everything. I'd much rather keep to my own bubble, but our NiFi makes us capable of being manipulative? I also notice that I'm able to put on different masks to 'fit in'. Imitate personalities without having realized it. (Or it might just be because everyone's multifaceted and we're just able to emulate others' behavior better?) Also, though we can be rational, we usually just follow our own moral compass. So I wouldn't define us as 'kind and good'. It does take quite a bit to get me mad, and I often forget grudges (unless you keep repeating the same ol' thing). I regret hurting someone's feelings for ages. _TLDR:_ we are peaceful humans that avoid confrontation most of the time but we certainly aren't angels. The villain inside of us scares ourselves and we're too busy having an existential crisis anyway so dw :D Or is this just me and did i just expose myself ;-;
@pablobuquet47393 жыл бұрын
Because we are scared of the villain, we cant be true psychopats. Psychopats arent scared of that part, they cant feel guilt. We are constantly fighting good vs evil. We want to be good people.

@iwannabeisekaid81573 жыл бұрын
We are the sameee. I have different ways to face someone. Sometimes putting a happy mask or kind mask. Sometimes, I realize I'm not being myself but then I really don't know myself either. So I also have existential crisis from time to time. As for grudges I would be angry at first then after some time doesn't feel that a anymore haha. Also, at some things like insulting me I became numb so it also takes some things for other people to make me mad. If I try to be like those evil ones ignoring someone or something lime that, my conscience lets me feel guilt•́ ‿ ,•̀. Also, there are may thoughts going on my mind other than having existential crisis which is me being idealistic. But I try to hide some side of me like being idealistic so they wouldn't call me a weird one. Sometimes I'm so sensitive hahaha.

Years later, I brought up the suspicion that I had ASPD to my therapist. I went through the usual process of diagnosis- filling out sheets, discussing concerns, exploring how this linked with my childhood. It was rather time-consuming and tedious. Therapists and doctors are usually hesitant on diagnosing people, especially relatively young people like me, with personality disorders. Which is why the minimum age for official diagnosis is 18 I’m around that age). I wasn’t really shocked to find out that I had ASPD, it only confirmed what I already knew.

@@violetevergarden5160 i don't think you are a psychopath at all, when we describe a psychopath, keep in mind all psychopaths have Anti-social personality disorder. I completely understand what you have said. You see just you having that thought in your mind "why don't I care this awful thing happened?" "I really am sounding like a psychopath/sociopath" just those thoughts indirectly tells us that yes, your heart empathetic heart is still alive (Forgive me if it sounds mean 😂😂😂) if you were a psychopath you wouldnt be having such thoughts at all but infact knowing someone (not close to you by any means) would in a way be pleasing to you. In this scenario thats not the case at all. I don't believe you have psychopathic tendencies at all. Let me give you an orgasmic example. There are people who are dying all over the world due to their time being up, but i don't know them at all, i am not in tears for them, but when i think about it and give it a thought, it gets me emotional in a way, and i pray for them i want God to forgive their sins and give them paradise and make the burden on their families easy for them. You see, emotions exist for a reason, some people are more so emotional, some are not so emotional, some are logical some are not so logical, some are extroverted some are not so extroverted. We all have attributes in which we are weak. For example, i am an INTP and i used to find using my "Fe" quite hard, until i realised the importance of it and i can use it at will confidently and i am so proud of myself. I can use my ESFJ subconscious when neccassary, my ENTJ unconscious when neccassary. You see it requires effort for one to change, now in a way your mind is saying "I need to be more so empathetic, Why don't i care about this person's death" that thought exists for a reason, if empathy is what you lack, then you have to take your time relax and find ways to increase yourself in empathy 😀. My sincerest apologies for this book of a message 😂😂😂 ahahahahaha 😂. ISFP here. Going to jail/death sentence is a grand way to lose freedom and I'd detest the mental stress of going to court etc., so no crimes. While I am impulsive, I actually think of the consequences for a split second when making decisions. I'm not thorough but I have a general idea of how things could go wrong and usually, it's not a big deal or I'm ready to face consequences. There's a method to my madness. I am definitely not impulsive when deciding who to date or kill. I can be careless when it comes to myself, but if my decisions are going to affect other people, I will stop to think or ask for advice. I quickly forget past quarrels, hence don't take revenge. And thrill-seeker does not mean never calculate the risks. I'm NEVER going bungee-jumping. I think ISFPs have huge conscience (self-aware), great empathy, high morals and will not violate others' rights. We're simply fiery and intense in a romantic way ;) My theory: I think maybe you were being too analytically black-and-white, while not considering the emotional motivations behind our traits. If those traits, in a particular situation, are going to cause results that do not align with my moral compass, I'm going to behave uncharacteristically. Umm, well, it IS characteristic for ISFP to be unpredictable xD. I think your subconscious that conjured the mental image was a better judge because it considered a lot more than just the cold facts. I'm going to be honest, I was expecting the INFP to be higher up. I feel like Fi can be a scary function with the right background. INFPs are often portrayed to be meek and sweet, but most often that's just a small part of them or even the mask they choose to wear. As a highly cynical INFP (life happens lol), I can totally see how that cynicism can develop into strong core beliefs that don't align with those of society. INFPs dream of changing the world but it is not often they take action. Due to this inertia, I can see those beliefs staying cozy inside their heads, never getting expressed. But I can also picture a determined INFP bulldozing through the obstacles to see them come to fruition. I'm self aware enough to know just how scary my outbursts can be, if that state of being got normalised in an individual, I can definetly see a terrifying psychopath being born. Your point about sympathy is intereting, INFPs would definetly "kill them with kindness", which, the way I see it, is even more twisted than a hate driven, merciless psychopath. Still, I understand this is quite specific and not what would pop to mind during a surface level evaluation. I appreciate the "anyone can be a psychopath" disclaimer, as it is not right to judge someone solely based on their type. Also, just wanted to say that I totally agree with the INTP placement, judging from my interaction with my (very very few) INTP friends, it's really hard for me to picture them as psychopaths. Anyways, true crime fascinates me more than it should (I'm not a psychopath, I swear!), so this was very entertaining. Thank you for another amazing video!

You can’t suddenly become a psychopath. See Dr. grandes KZbin videos on psychopathy. That will clear it up for you. I don't know how many ISFP gang members and criminals I've seen. Nathan's ranking of them here is spot on. If ISFPs are raised in good environments, they can be really cool; if they haven't been, they can go in the opposite direction and become potentially quite vicious. I'm guessing that in bad environments they are less likely to learn a good sense of morality, or at least that's my sense of things.
@lisazoria27094 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's like most people forget how Fi is inherently amoral. At least Fe users have their ethics. You kinda just have to hope the Fi user is in a good mood that day, (assuming you're not in their Fi bubble). lol
@youreworthyourweightinavoc71894 жыл бұрын
@@lisazoria2709 But Fe users are not more ethical than Fi users. Fe is 'group think/feel' and Fi is 'I think/feel'. It's just about the orientation of subjective value judgements. I'd put INFJs higher. Not only more likely to be a psychopath, but more likely to be a darn good one: strategic, calculating, driven, very perceptive and very subtle.
@Marilyn24014 жыл бұрын
I was expecting that too, but what he said is 100% right he told my story in one paragraph lol when I have gone through a "dark" phase I realized I could easily manipulate anyone since I'm a very good actor and very emphatic but I decided to not use that and to avoid it I tell the truth all the time (obviously I try not to hurt anyone) but in the end my sense of moral won.
@ulysspike92784 жыл бұрын
@@Marilyn2401 Based on two cases I know pretty intimately, it seems that the way to go off the rails for an INFJ is to shut yourself off from feedback from other people - whether they do that because of trauma or because of sin, doesn't matter. You shut off that Fe and you fall into endless Ni-Ti loop: other people's emotions are not let in, internal emotions are unrecognized (weak Fi, which allows you to be such good actors) and you're acting based on your internal process, unchecked, which can become quite... psychopathic, if taken to extreme. I'm not an INFJ, but it seems that Fe users' moral compass requires constant human feedback to even function - otherwise we're dealing with a cold, calculating machine unaware of his/her own feelings that are driving him and aware only in thought how others are impacted emotionally by his/her actions. I'm rambling, but just wanted to add that if anyone's dealing with an INFJ narcissist/psychopath, their Achilles heel is their lack of awareness of THEIR OWN feelings. You'll sense either this emptiness, lack of substance in them, plus more or less coherent logical framework instead of feelings to justify their actions/worldview. And if you're an INFJ, one of the fundamental keys to your well-being is engage with the world, with people and their emotions, to be open to feedback from those around you, all age groups, family/casual, all education backgrounds, all social status levels and levels of spiritual maturity.
@crwlh67214 жыл бұрын
You're absolutely right. I put them #1 in the "highly likely" category. Not only bc of what you mentioned, but also because they're very controlling. They *NEED* to have their way, or watch out. Also, very good at the "woe is me" game & playing the victim. Plus, they'll hold a grudge or seek retribution in a huge way. I've worked with MBTI in some form since the 1990's (Worked for Otto Kroeger & Assoc.). Let me tell you .. some of the most frighteningly manipulative & self-serving individuals I've met are INFJs. And what I've described, plus the traits you've listed, adds up to (as you put it) "a darn good" psychopath.
@ulysspike92784 жыл бұрын
@@crwlh6721 Very interesting. Also in line with my experience, albeit not as extensive perhaps. I still don't quite understand where that stubbornness and need to control stems from, but boy it is familiar. My hesitant guess is that if they disregard their Fe, which is a case-by-case, hands-on, dealing with messy world of people and feelings kind of function, they get into the Ni-Ti loop, and if something or someone in the outside world contradicts their introvertedly crafted ideas about how things are how they should be, instead of facing the cognitive and emotional dissonance and adjusting their thinking, they try to bend the outside world to conform to their grand theory. And yes, their ability to strategically play on people's impressions, to foresee how a mere glance or "accidentally" slipped word may kindle, for example, doubt, which after a few weeks can be integrated into a conversation with yet another person to achieve some goal, like retribution or seduction, a year later and unrelated to these two people etc. is astounding. It's like INTJ social engineering or geopolitical strategy skills taken into the microsocial realm. Reminds me of some characters in Dostoyevsky's "Idiot". I'm rambling again.
