Why are people trying to create artificial intelligence - (AI)? Do they think emotion (or subjectivity) is nonessential or objectifiable? Point-of-view is inherent in every observation. The witness position is nonobjectifiable, is it not? How can there be an objective world or reality while everything is tainted with subjectivity. The quest to create AI is a noble endeavour; but, it is destined to failure in the ultimate sense. The singularity is a myth. ~INTP
@Toranghu3 жыл бұрын
@@Martin_Neal Well, instead of becoming philosophical it would make way more actual sense to look into what "AI" really is what it is used for, then... you'll understand 😉 There's not just ONE AI. AIs are just an ideal, a construct. Usually the AIs that exist in reality are task-based programmes that simply put statistical methods and analysis automatically to work on large data sets. So, since that's the goal for most who work on "AI" ... it's not really failing. The results are visible in automatic translations (that are still flawed, yep, I know), even when you type on your phone or tablet or have a nice chat with Siri or whatever. And the other question is: Who the heck even wants to create some "artificial personality" (well, there sure are some crazy fools who want to play God, but the majority of researchers isn't interested in that). Given that such a thing would exist... It would have to have rights, because it's conscious, which wouldn't be in line with what's "most useful" for humanity, otherwise it's slavery.

I'm happy with the INFJ warning label. I think it's easy to think that I'm (we're) always fluffy and innocent on the inside because we tend to be very kind and accepting outwardly, but it's very true that with understanding everyone, you also peer into the abyss quite a lot. I've always been a little weary of the idea of "mind reading", and especially people reading My mind. There's a lot of dark twisted and cold stuff that comes to me as intrusive thoughts or things I pick up from others, and I wouldn't want anyone to see/read that. I think that "darker on the inside" is a simplified understanding of an amoral judging function. I mean you cannot understand humanity without sinking to the possible horrifying depths of its depravity. It's funny where others may automatically condemn someone for an action I would first ask "now why would you do that"? I think most people think they are better than they are because they simply don't understand how far is their potential to sink. Others may look at an INFJ as idealistic about humanity, but they fail to see that some INFJs are exceptionally realistic about what lurks in the darkness of men's hearts and are not willfully blind to it. /:) .... 'Tolerable but careful, it bites when there's too much stimulation being thrown at them at once' - ISFJ I'm basically the one who is in charge with everything inside the house (chores, errands) so just as what the video has described, I can stay calm even when my surrounding is in complete chaos; where each of my family members is struggling with their own works but I can be a little bit aggressive when some of them start to come to me with their own problems all at once because I do need to take some time to sort out each thing so that I can perform and help others better so I always make sure to not have too much stimulant at once 😌

My personal warning label would be closer to the ESTP's, even though I'm an ENTJ. Perhaps: "Watch your step. Steep drop-off ahead." I've probably given both my parents a few gray hairs with all the "adventures" I've had (and for reference, I'm only 24, so I'm just getting started). My self-preservation instincts are often ignored in favor of doing bold, exciting things. Other times, I'm just a bit too careless for my own good. Recent case: while pursuing my Private Pilot certificate, I was on my long solo cross-country flight and made a near fatal error after landing at an un-towered airport; I forgot to reset the plane for a take-off configuration. I taxied back to the start of the runway, started the ground roll, and all hell broke loose. I won't go into the details 'cause they're rather technical, but basically the plane took-off prematurely, at an airspeed that was too low to sustain lift once I left ground effect, and in trying to rectify the situation, I ended up making a mistake that caused the plane to sink 100-200 feet in the air. Definitely a few heart-stopping moments of terror before I was able to fully fix the issue and resume a normal climb to a proper cruise altitude. And like I said, this is just the most recent of my harrowing near-misses and dangerous endeavors. lol So if people wish to join me on my adventures, I'd recommend that you "Fasten your seatbelt. It's gonna be a bumpy ride."

Even though sensors are finally starting to be seen less shallow than before, I am noticing that in a loot of mbti content, especially when saying something about all the types, the intuitive descriptions are still a lot "deeper". Many of the most complex and fascinating people I have ever met are sensors. I have noticed it also in your videos, not too much but still. And I want to remind all of you reading this that the fact that for example INFPs have rich inner world and do not participate in the "real" world that much doesn't make them any more deep or interesting than an Se dom. I have had this thought in my mind for a long time: why do so many people think they are intuitives (especially INxx)? Maybe because their stereotype is that they are complex, deep, thoughtful and not so much in touch with reality. Maybe that is just because all human beings are complex, deep, thoughtful and a bit out of touch with reality. I would love to see some deeper analysis etc of sensing types, to stop the word "sensor" from being some kind of insult in the mbti community.
@benjaminharmon65413 жыл бұрын
I agree. I'd also like for it not to be seen as weird or surprising when a sensor (like me) says something thoughtful or philosophical. Had an INFJ praise me the other day for being a deep thinker... Yeah, guess what humans are deep.
@tracyzimmerman79123 жыл бұрын
I think any type can have the ability to be deep. It's weather they value it or not. Experience knowledge wisdom logic extra can all be deep. Our deepness... INFPS... comes from our inner world and how we view people in the world. Our deepness hangs on meaning. At least that's the way I see it.
@actionchaplain13 жыл бұрын
@Soňa · Brandisová That seems to be a slowly growing sentiment inside the mbti community.

The strange thing in my opinion is that half of the "sensor" types have 3rd slot Nx: ESxJ and ISxP And half of the "intuitive" types have 3rd slot Sx: ENxJ and INxP There really isn't a huge difference between 2nd and 3rd slots, it's 4th slot that makes all the difference. The truly intuitive and not sensor types must have dom Nx and inferior Sx, like ENxP and INxJ. And the truly sensor and not intuitive types must have dom Sx and inferior Nx, like ESxP and ISxJ. So really only 8/16 types fits into this "sensor vs intuitive," but I think it's been used in such a strange way because opposite mbti types can agree on the same things, it's just a different method of cognition.

Until one day my endless joy ceased to exist. Without my gift people had no need for me and I no need for them. So I began a new journey. Agree strongly with your description here of ISTPs needing a lot of space and being rather standoffish, which is why I was really surprised that you categorized them as most aligned with fearful avoidant attachment style in your video on attachment styles and MBTI, since fearful avoidance does have a side to it that's more anxious/needy. To me, ISTPs are the penultimate dismissive avoidants. Fearful avoidants would be much likelier to be feelers, since FAs are both highly driven by their own emotional volatility, and at the same time, hyperattentive to subtle nuances in the feelings of others. The rest of this video is also spot-on, btw!!!

@patrick newton Thanks for saying, Patrick. I'm a smart, not-so-little INTJ myself and, unfortunately, I've never been paid for my thinking :( A couple of times I've applied for jobs that require high levels of intelligence but, after going through all of the employer's various tests, I was rejected for the jobs. Such is the way of things. Ironically, I've also been rejected by potential employers for being too intelligent. For myself, personally, I would have loved to have a job or romantic relationship (or both) where my intelligence and wisdom is valued and appreciated, but that hasn't eventuated for me.
@heathergrahame96472 жыл бұрын
@patrick newton I value the different perspectives of others (it expands my own view, which I love), so I'm glad you shared some of your thoughts. I can't say I've ever been attracted to a dumb person; I'm going to have to look up what "bohunk" is (!); and anyone who takes orders from another human being rather than thinking for themselves (ie military personnel) don't have my respect. To be honest, I seem to be most happy when I'm alone, so going without a romantic relationship is no great loss to me. But not having a job where I'm respected and appreciated for my intelligence is tough. Living in poverty is no joy.
