my name for your “string trimmer” is weed eater and I got that from my father in washington state and i brought it with me to arizona. I moved here 5 years ago to get away from the western washington wet, damp weather. I;m 78 years young and find the heat preferable to the wet. During the 3 month period of July August and September I stay indoors between 9 am and 5 pm. That still leaves me 9 months that I can be outdoors fairly comfortably I try not miss a single one of your videos. Keep up the good work!

Weed Whacker is what I learned to call it when it first came out here in Alaska. I was an Army NG mechanic working on the old M151-A2s back in the late 70s. Loved 'em!

I grew up in NE Pa, we always called them weed wackers, I also own a Stihl FS56rc, and love it, you can’t go wrong with Stihl products it seems like, they are fast, tough, and made to last.

For decades called them weed eaters but now with these all-in-ones each attachment makes it a different device. The one with string is the string trimmer. Favorite is the brush cutter for overgrown fence lines and other places brush hog can't or won't go. North Central, Texas.

I call it simply a trimmer. My name is Jerry from Indiana and I'm a new subscriber to Melissa's and your channel (what a high spirited eye catching woman) . I was just in the process of debating if I should use that plastic type string by Grass Gator or simply use some of my bicycle iron brake cable in my 25 cc gasoline Craftsman Trimmer/weedwacker/Edger etc., because that plastic cord breaks or wears often. That bycycle brake cable will do the job very well without failing ....

Here in North East Connecticut we call them a weed wacker. I have a Stihl as well have had it for years I love the brush blade attachment. You can tear some stuff up with that.

several names ,weed wacker (heavier duty and plastic blades) string trimmer and brush cutter, several blade styles, including one with chainsaw teeth. The all still work, all but one is Stihl.

String trimmers or weedeaters in East Central IL. but I got a stihl brushcutter with handlebars and harness , that takes real big diameter string or the 3 pointed blade which was a real brush cutting machine up to about 2" tree trunks in about 3 bumps. I really need to be able to use it on this Asian Autumn Olive that is taking over our woods. My back won't let me do it any more. I can't even stand straight and walk with a cane and have real bad balance.

Weed Wacker! Even though I realize the proper name is string trimmer. I started using that pro line this year with my stihl trimmers, its awesome. I cut several yards a week plus a small cemetery and it holds up to the abuse from the stones better than any line I have used.

Great video. Love all the Jeeps in Butler. I now live in E. PA and call them weed wackers! I have the same basic fuel tank that I mounted on a pallet to take to the gas station for off road diesel. I have two Kioti tractors, a skid steer and a Kubota RTV so I need a lot of fuel. I have a 12v DC pump on it and it works great. Keep the videos coming.

Wead Eaters here in jacksonburg W.V. even where i brought it at our local Martins True Value hardware Store in PineGrove they too call em weedeaters. BTW i used to own a couple of Jeeps a 1959 Willeys and a 1980 CJ5 with a rag top straight 6 cyl. engine. Great vehicles both. Traded a garden tractor and $50 dollars for the old Willeys. Ended up a few years later giving it to my nephew who btw shares your last name. Isn't that a coincidence.
