I've been around for more than 1/2 century and I have seen my share of stock market contractions. Saw the birth of video gaming, and the birth of the internet, to name a few. Now, I get to witness the birth of blockchain and Crypto, and I can personally attest that Crypto is a completely different beast from the US stock market. 100% agree that there should be a guarded approach to crypto investing. You may not win hearts and minds of everyone, but you have and are earning respect for telling the truth and trying to help others to look out for themselves. I'm super picky who I listen too for crypto analysis.. I have made over 23` btc from day trading with anika hobson Signal in few weeks, this is one of the best medium to backup your assets incase it goes bearish.

I love that I found you guys. I have recently fallen into the fitness industry rabbit hole. Every social media app I have is promoting some type of fitness app/influencer/workout/diet/podcast, glad you guys stood out. As far as the content on this video goes, I love this discussion! Several years ago I decided to focus on managing my weight. At first I started off with just cardio ("let's go for a run!"). Then I found a fun hobby (hula hooping-- was weight hooping for an hour or two a day), then I came across HIIT, and started a program with Body boss (got really repetitive and wasn't seeing changes-- yet), then signed up to have a PT at my local gym. And I remember when I started to meet with this gentleman, I remember his physique being intimidating (big build guy) he tried to get me to strength train and I remember saying to him.. "oh I don't wanna get big, I wanna lose weight". At the time, I remember him looking a little frustrated because he knew what needed to get done, and me being so inexperienced and stubborn wasn't about to let him put me to work on machines that scared me. Fast forward to 6 years ago, I had reached-- what I considered my heaviest weight, I was almost reaching 200, keep in mind I am 5"6. And it was starting to really mess with me. I was working out heavily, mostly HIIT and cardio machines, and every time I stepped on that scale nothing changed. I thought about just giving up all together, then COVID happened. And even though I was still putting in some type of fitness in my routine, I had really just given up. During this time I came across InnoSupps, and although I was really hesitant about buying supplements, (mainly because of how expensive it was) I gave it a shot. I bought their "shred stack", which included an AM/PM supplement pills, thermogenic (w.o the caffeine) and a bonus CLA. A month would go by and I felt my energy shift, I came across 305fitness (dance cardio workouts) and was immediately obsessed. I wasn't weighing in anymore because-- I gave up. I was, however, starting to track my meals using the "fat secret" app, being more food conscious, choosing the healthier alternatives and keeping portions under control. I didn't notice the weight changes until my clothes started to feel different. I went from 198-170 within the first year of COVID, then the weight just started coming off. I am now at a solid 155 (my goal was to reach what doctors consider appropriate for my age and height=130). I was never a 130 gal, I struggled with weight my whole life! I began to educate myself in nutrition and fitness goals, my new routines consist of: AM before work 20 minutes of Hatha yoga or Yin (depending on how my body feels) followed by 10 minutes of meditation. After work, if I'm at home I would go 1.5 hours of working out-- 30 minutes warmup Tabata style HIIT with resistance bands (focusing on specific body regions) then 305. If I'm at the office I do the 30 minutes tabata, and strength train, focusing on specific body parts, ending with a 1 mile treadmill walk on incline. My focus is to look lean and feel great. My biceps are slowly coming in, and my legs are pretty sculpted. My weak point is the gut-- although I am consciously eating... I tend to take my cheat days on the heavier side (usually pig out either Saturday or Sunday). I workout about 5-6 days a week (again depending on how my body feels). I truly believe that when I started innosupps, that shocked my metabolism and body. I do not take many supplements now (again expensive) but I am focusing more on how to build muscle whilst burning fat. It's hard, like yeah there are days I just don't workout-- my body is too tired or I accidentally went to hard at the gym stressing my body out to the point of exhaustion. I totally get where your caller is coming from because that is where I am at now. I am scared to go back to old habits, although I enjoy my time at the gym, I do not want to be the person that is still in her office building's gym till 8pm because I needed a solid burn. I am still learning and want to be able to not overcompensate during my workout times. I am also trying to navigate this fitness world accordingly, but with the many fabs and advice, it's really hard to find the right path for you. I got my certifications with ISSA to be CPT, group instructor, and nutrition coach-- with the goal of starting my own side hussle--- leading to the possibility of opening my own brick n mortar. Thank you guys for sharing and I cannot wait to learn more!

I do miss Adam's questions he would do on IG the most and the QUAH's, lol. I always look forward to listening to your episodes because it keeps me up to date and I always learn something new each episode. Any time I'm not sure about form/techniques, I search the topic with "mind pump" and always get an answer. Thanks for all the hard work and reliable information you guys give for the health and fitness industry!

Christian dude I feel your frustration! I'm right in the midst of parenting young kids too and trying to pack on muscle. It's slow and difficult. I have a 7, 5, and 2 year old and another boy due in July! Life is full, sleep is tough to come by, but I have still made progress. I have definitely found what's helped me is using the points where my appetite is high (typically in the evening) to load more calories. I work in remodeling so my caloric needs are super high and my appetite has dwindled. Definitely lower the protein and increase carbs and fats. I love that they recommended shakes cause I find those digest relatively fast. As for macro tracking I find im really good at hitting protein by feel and then I just have to think about carbs/fats. I use my fitness pal and the "add from yesterday" feature is super helpful. I probably only spend about 10 minutes max a day tracking. If your appetite doesn't mind, I also try to keep my foods relatively similar through the days so I don't have to think about it too much and know exactly what to eat. Also if you are trying to build and struggling to get the calories you have the flexibility to not be as worried about being exact with your macro profiles. I use them as a guideline and get close. And some days that are busy with kids/work/events where I just can't track I go by feel and add a little extra. If you go over your target that's not a big deal at this point and it's very unlikely you would eat too much and put in unnecessary fat at this point. All the best to you dude!

With the help of this podcast, I was able to realize that my path to fitness is a lifelong journey. There are times to focus on strength, flexibilty, mobility, hypertrophy, gaining, leaning, etc. It is so important to keep our minds open to do something a little different (and what our body most likely needs!). I have had my head stuck in bodybuilider mode and you guys finally made me expand my thoughts on what a well-rounded program should look like. Appreciate all that you do!

I couldnt be more thankful for the things you guys do for everyone. I live in the Philippines and the exercise and diet culture here has been so misconstrued that we just accept medical conditions like diabetes or high cholesterol as "inevitable" if we have the genetics for it. I hate that notion and because of that, I want to become a personal trainer and nutritional coach one day! You guys inspire me so much to be catalyst of change and hopefully I can share the knowledge ive gotten from you guys to Filipinos who have a horrible relationship with exercise and food.

Thanks so much for your content guys. I used to be really active and fit in high school and college (varsity athlete, etc ) but an injury, getting a desk job and getting married really derailed me. Your content has been super helpful to have a sound reference for information and guidance on research and evidence based approaches to health and wellness that also take into account the realities of life and human psychology. My ultimate goal is to return to a state of performance and functional strength (trying to survive the zombie apocalypse) so I can feel capable in my body and use it to be of benefit to those around me. I think fitness is an investment in self, but also a gift to be used for others.

Live question #3 resonates with me so hard. I started out heavy, around 260 lbs but was probably heavier at one point. After dieting down to 180 lbs I realized I was only eating an abysmal 2,000 calories. And a lot like him I went HARD at the start and it led to a binge/restrict cycle, except with my attitude towards everything. I would either be all in or not at all. Slowly getting my metabolism back.

The discussions you guys have around metabolism are really interesting as everyone is so different. I have always felt I have a really slow metabolism being chubby growing up and i have done pretty well building it up by adding muscle, as your guys often talk about. Still, I have major envy for the 2nd caller haha and i think the 3rd caller does as well. Having a "too fast" metabolism seems like a pretty good problem to have. I'm super keen to try out Maps Performance to keep building my strength (and metabolism), and as it is my preferred style of training. #PickMyComment

So helpful this podcast. I am currently struggling with gaining more muscle mass. I feel like I'm always taking a step back. Unknown information and what to do at the gym and how much protein and how much to eat is what Im struggling with this portion. Training in my gym always gives me all different kinds of information so honestly I am LOST. I wish I could have a one on one with you guys so I can be guided the right way. This can be very overwhelming and frustrating and I feel like I'm going back.

the concept in my opinion is:Lose weight as fast as possible as long as your lift numbers remain the same or increase.Keep the muscle mass is the most important factor for body recomposition,I ve seen that on my self,at 240 looking much worse than 270.In the first case, my lifts were 20% less than the second case.So look the scale but keep an eye on your energy levels and your strength in the gym

That opening segment was spot on for me. My wife is trying to lose weight but she's going about it all the wrong way. She wants to do cardio drumming and some hula hoop thing. Then she's getting mad at me because I keep saying, no let's focus on food habits, and let start with simple body weight exercises to build some muscle. It's even harder for me to walk the fine line and say no and try to frame it in a nice way.

Do the same thing Sal did, find a women in your gym that is well trained and in the same age group with your wife and ask her if she could talk to your wife about fitness. Women will listen to mens advice only when they pay said advice. When you give it for free they usually dismiss it.

Trying to be supportive but also help prevent out falls.

It seems the best form of leaning out is body recomposition. If you approach the “weight loss” situation with this mindset, you’ll be much more likely to look like you lost weight. This is why I don’t let the scale dictate my direction and my results are excellent. Nobody thinks I’m as heavy as I am and I’m pretty lean 💪

As I’m getting older I’m noticing my metabolism starting to drop and body fat going up due to my diet and low appetite. It’s effecting muscle growth and that’s my goal right now. So I am on the verge of purchasing Performance. I didn’t realize at the time but I went out of order and purchased Aesthetic and it’s kicking my butt! It’s confusing because I did 3 foundational days of Anabolic so thought I would do great with Aesthetic. So I like the idea of switching gears to Performance with all the mobility exercises that my body is craving right now but it sounds like my gym doesn’t have all that I will need such as a landmine attachment or boxes for box jumps. Will I be able to properly execute this program at home? Or is it possible to incorporate both (since I prefer going to the gym)?

In one of the podcasts you guys commented that PE was discontinued in schools because of fear of kids getting hurt and can’t competitiveness. That is not why it was due to lack of funding

I understand that muscle takes up less room..but then, why are my jeans getting tight whilst I'm building my butt? Shouldn't my thighs and tummy be slimming down and my butt be growing, which balances things out, therefore jeans should still fit???

Why are you not aware of running / walking / hiking shoes from Altra? They are not THAT ugly ;) I have plantaar fasciitis, and have been jogging for years, switched to them for about 4 years ago. My heels are now closer to the ground and I run more with support from the toes! (Those shoes do need a few weeks of adjusting to them, as the inlay card tells you) As we should! It's about balance! Why would the toes be there otherwise? Same goes for walking. Altra are evolving all the time, and now they have more "normal" looking models. Of course part from training, I as a woman will not walk around in ugly shoes, but when exercising, who cares. I do not want to develop hallux valgus, and pointed toes formed like a pointed shoe is not very attractive either lol. And what about balance when lifting weights? I would imagine its better if you use your toes as well. I am NEVER going back to normal running/walking shoes, cause I want my feet to help me whilst working out, not stuggle to keep the balance. :)
