A hospital would be nice. But a hospital is often a bigger building, so it should be on at least 1 and a half baseplate. I am always surprised with the new things they come up with, like this year, the Clock maker. We also have to think back 45 years ago when I was younger, lots of stores back then that don't exist anymore.

like your review of the modulars love tp see more of the mocs u shown during this video - agree about the fact lego could do with a full hospital, post office, the kitchen and bathroom issue is a must. english theme would be good to see. chemist or pharmacy, a full pub. im sure there are many other options would be good too.

What year would you say the Golden age of Modulars started? I think the sets really started to look great in 2013 with the Palace Cinema. I started collecting in 2015 so I've got that one. 😊 I feel the 20th Anniversary set will be something inline with Assembly square, basically a one and a half sized modular set. What I would love is a cultural set such as an Italian or Spanish villa. 😊

I feel like the designers have been stepping them up each year, but would agree that Palace Cinema was a great one! Yeah I feel like around that time the collection was heating up.

Probably when they focused a lot more on the interior and not just the exterior. The first bunch of Modulars had no interiors at all

Having only done more recent sets, seeing the interior of the older modular buildings was disappointing.

There's a lot of interesting and innovative stuff happening with modulars from competing brands, FunWhole in particular. They have a skate shop, theater, motel, antique shop, record store, etc., with more coming out all the time. The design ideas of the record store in particular blow away Lego's modulars.

@@thegreenbrick They just announced they're going to be developing a new space theme, too. It's great to have really top-level competition for Lego now because it just means more choices for us brick fans :)
