Hello and Happy March.That was a lovely trip and lesson of the industry on the canals of old.I have enjoyed a cup of tea from my Wedgwood "Covent Garden" china in homage to all those workers and millers that toiled for the potteries.I so enjoyed Zephyrs antics on the towpath..such a smart and funny pup.

I've never been on a narrow boat before but I think the best thing about living on a boat ⛵ is that if you have a bad neighbour you can simply move away from him quite easily. Just subscribed to your channel btw.

That’s one of the reasons why my husband and I lived full-time in a motorhome for 14 years. We didn’t like the area or we didn’t like the people or we didn’t like the weather whatever we were just turn on that engine and move on down the road.

That is a good point, but in the 5 years afloat, I have been lucky to have never had a bad neighbour. It's really odd, but you might be moored up in a whole line of boats, but once you're inside your own one, you're not really aware of anyone else next to you. You actually draw backwards to a classic art school trained artist, which is intriguing in itself. But the results are amazing in my mind. You start with the small details then enlarge the whole picture for a great result. This could be to do with your knowledge, and interest in what you are drawing! The story of flint for me was SO interesting. I live in a flint old stable and always imagined a lot of gnarled elderly men sitting around knapping the stones for my dwelling. Now I wonder if my stones were sold off being too big to grind down for Mr Wedgewood. Whither thou goest this summer I will follow……wouldn’t miss an adventure with you for anything.

Vanessa....Your fallback title could have been 'Spring has sprung!'Lovely cruise in great weather, a prize based on the last 4 months. You mentioned the Celandine, a great plant and reliable. It dies back to crumbling dust when flowering completed. No tidying up required as it disappears ready for next Year. A favourite of mine along with its various colours is Campion. I have both in the garden and spread it as much as I can! Looks like you have a great plan for the year. I'm heading North with Happy days in June as Wiggie is off to Crete with my daughters Family. We are starting the best part of year....enjoy! GH

Hello Vanessa, if you don't mind, I'd just like to tell you something knowing how central Zephyr is to your life. I'm 78 now and had Labradors since 1972. What we've found is that each time our Labrador is getting on a bit, we've acquired a pup and this has clearly given the ageing dog a new lease of life. In one instance it clearly served to add more than a year to the ageing chappie. Hope you don't mind this suggestion, just trying to help. Best wishes and thanks for your superb channel.

Spring is definitely on her way, yesterday the sun came out briefly & the leaves on our honeysuckle burst open & were covered in twinkling diamonds as the sun caught the trapped raindrops. Seeing that Bullfinch - Lucky You - I can't remember the last one I saw one out in the wild - As a kid in the 50's/60's they were as common as Sparrows (Nearly) .... People would keep them as pets along with Canaries and Budgies .... I hope that wasn't what's led to the apparent demise ... Some Excellent footage - Especially the Beetle shots ...
