The floor is luxurious. Such a very spacious room when you walk in, maybe too much so when you look towards the bed. The chest of drawers is behind a door and covers part of a window. It just looks crowded, especially given the large open space in the other half of the room. Kind of the same thing with what I think is a jewelry armor. It's behind the door when you walk in. You have such a fantastic spacious room that nothing should have to be behind a door. You are creative, I'm sure you can experiment with alternative places for these pieces that will still maintain the open feel of the room. Just something to think about. ☺

I was recommended your very first walk around video of the house (I love seeing older homes restored) and got hooked on your videos full of hidden treasures within the house and all the wonderful before and after shots. I love that you incorporate textiles in your design and the rake jewelry holder is Perfect. I purchased a thread holder frame from Joanns and made it my necklace holder. You could put a “fainting couch” or settee in the middle of the big wall in your bedroom. Perfect place under all those pictures. Maybe you could find an old Victorian style at your thrift shopping. Just an idea.

10:25 Re: new curtains. You can actually do more DIY via Goodwill or Savers. Walmart is also a possibility for sheets on the cheap, but I think the better thread count sheets come in sets instead of being able to buy them singly. :P Get a nice matched set of flat sheets in whatever size you want for your windows and then stamp or stencil the design you like on them. A bigger, better version of those potato stamps we did as kids. You're going to want a 300-400 thread count most likely. One design book I have (packed away right now) had stencils in a sweet pea design, maybe 4"x8", and you plopped them all over with various flower colors with some tilted this way, and other that way, perhaps 12-20 over one sheet. There's many designs and stencils you could choose for that, you just want to be sure that once it's done to your satisfaction that you use an artsy sealant so they won't wash off in the laundry. Jo-Ann Fabrics, Michaels or AC Moore should be good for that.

Yes the closet was added! Before there were two doors on the right, one leading out of the room into the foyer (that one is still there) the other lead to a little hallway, to the original front door. It served little purpose since we opened the original foyer back up.
