I was about to type a same comment but it's already here, yeah, this will resolve the problem of using a switch and will keep the battery safe from direct charging current from engine and bms will keep doing it's work.

Rajat Anand, that's simply a BMS BYPASS SWITCH installed on the negative polarity of the BMS module, why not use two pieces of 5Amp diodes in parallel instead of a switch so that the DC charge can come directly from the battery but not go back into the battery, that way the BMS will do the charging while the line that comes through the diodes will supply the whole circuitry of the bike as well as the starter motor load. This will relieve you of using the BMS bypass switch every time you start the bike. Greetings from Meghalaya - Shillong.

Hi Johan, If you bypass the BMS with Diodes then BMS is no more protecting the batteries if they over discharge.

Use lifepo4 3.2 volt 6ah.(3C battery) Make it to 4 string and 2 parallel(4S2P configuration) so total 12.8 volt 12 ah battery (14.8 maximum volt) pack as normal as lead acid battery. Can use them without bms because keep it connected without any switch as like lead acid battery. It will not deep discharge as the bike always replenishes the battery by charging while riding. And more importantly use a clamp meter to any of the battery main lead wire to check the amp flow during self start. Most of the bike takes more than 50 amps to crank. My thunderbird takes over 100amp instantaneous current. - if you chose a bms for a lifepo4 battery then chose it something has 50 amp or higher rating one. - charge and discharge same terminal bms Or if you don't have 3.2 lifepo4 battery then use 18650 4 string battery pack (4S2P or 3P) Maximum vehicles alternator voltage after rectification is set to 14.8. So end charging volt of 3.7 pack is 4.2 volt (4.2 × 4= 16.8). Since alternator is set to 14.4 or 14.8, battery will charge and remains in 14.8 volt it will not go higher. Or use a it with lithium iron bms 50 amp or higher. Please do not use 11.1 pack 12.6 one because we might forget to toggle the switch after use. Or use a diode. ## So, best way use high drain batteries 4S2P - (32650 or 32700) 3 or higher C rated batteries to make 12.6 volt normal and 14.8 end volt batteries either with bms (charge and discharge same terminal bms) or without bms with ## 18650 high drain batteries (drill batteries, not laptop batteries or generic ones) 15amp or higher Eg LG chem batteries HG2 ones have 20 amp continuous discharge rating Or samsung 25 R or 30 Q rated batteries

Good U have exposed every thing/doubt. There are many u tubers who conseal things.but in your case every thing is open and clear. Keep it up. Being a technical person i have a suggestion Mount a push to on switch near the bike starte button in the approach of your thumb . Operate a 12 volt relay through this push button, mount this relay in place of your power on/off sw.in this way u need not to switch off and on .if u like idea ,I can send u wiring diagram. If there is any con , must share.

Why not use a relay instead of the switch which comes on when you press the starter switch. Or use the starter relay directly

you can use simply push button instead of On/Off. so there is no chance of mistake if you forget to turn off switch or use the 10A diode in reverse polarity to charging circuit.

Hello, after installation at 12v 8ah Lithium-ion battery, BMS is showing proper volts at all connections, but at the output, it shows only 5.2 volts, what could be the cause?? please guide

I used 25 ah 3 s board with 21 cells... But one issue that the bms shuts off the power after self and the i have to unplug and replug the wire... I guess i have to use 2 switches

Switch ki jagah aap heavy apms ka diode bhi use kar sakte ho. Jisse cut off automatic ho jayega. Current sirf ek hi direction me flow kareg. Aur cells directly charge nahi honge. Agar aisa karoge to video jarur banana.

Use lithium phosphate. And to skip bms for starting system. Isolate the starter relay wire and hook it directly to the battery. There should be thinner wire that power the rest of the bike and the charging system that should be connected to the bms.

I think problem is not limitation of BMS but cells having high internal resistance. The 3S 40A balanced BMS supplies 80A peak current. But the 1C 1200mah 18650 6Ah pack will give only 6Ah * 1C = 6A starting current. In Robu Orange 15C 18650s are available. 1500mah 15C 18650 cell costs about 210₹. I will try and tell in my 150CC Yamaha bike. I think on cranking the BMS is experiencing low voltage condition because of 1C batteries with high internal resistance and cutting off.

You can use a Delay Timer Circuit based on NE555 IC insted of the switch. Connect the power input to this circuit from the Magnet coil of the bike so that the circuit gets On only after the bike starts. Set the delayed tme to 15 or 20 sec. or as you wish to. Add Another Horn Or Heavy Amp. relay in the output of the Timer Circuit though you can connect the Direct Negative port to the Charging Line (which you have presently done) this way it will aytomatically do the switching off. The Idea is Simple Tmer Circuit is Switched OFF Relay is ON (Self getting Direct Battery (-)Ve. Bike Starts Time Circuit gets power, Sends power to Relay after desired delay. Relay Cuts Off the direct (-)Ve connection from the Battery. Now the battery is through BMD only & Safe. Believe me I have done the same thing in my Royel Enfield Thunderbird 350X. Yes, I had to change the Charger.... but that's a different story. Nice & Honest Video.❤👍

भाई आपको switch लगाने की जरूरत नही पड़ती. Bike में self के लिए अलग से connection जाता है और light , horn के लिए अलग से connection जाता है. तो आपको self के connection को direct और light horn के connection को BMS से कर देना चाहीए था...

Hi I have made Lithium ion battery of 12.6v,6amp. Used material 3x4 lithium ion battery, 3s 40amh bms board. When I have connected it to my Honda Activa automatically my current stops and failed to start. Light and horn works fine only starting is not done. Can you suggest please.I have tried bypass also.

6amp bms not enough power try with 100amp bms or with direct battery connection you need you need to modify the switch and for reverse current protection to your battery you can buy jumpstart connection cable separately it has reverse current protection from the alternator... Do connect separately bms to the main wire voltage regulator rectifier for lighting and charging the battery... Do separate the wire of alternator and startar motor.... direct connect battery and give any extra switch for protection

Agar hum 4 cell series main conect kre ( without bms) to vo over charge nhi honge na.......??? (without bms) 3.7 * 4 =14.8....ideal value 4.2 *4 = 16. 8...maximum voltage Agar bike 14-15 (16) volt charging voltage nikale gi to kya cell chage honge.? ... Suppose 15/4 =3.75volt to each cell. Bro jo app 40 ampere bms ko 4 ampere bta rhe hain wo 40 ka hi hota hai , or self ka starting peak current upto 60-70 ampere tak ho sakta hai aapne self ki wire ki size dekha hi hoga , apni lead acid battery peak current easily provide kar deti hai bms nhi karta due to safety , you can use super capacitor but they costly

Rajat bhai, I've assembled a same battery as yourself And hacked the Negetive cable as well err. But my Hero glamour 125 cc self is not working. , I've done same tosame as yours . Would you mind showing thoes batteries by unwraping please and Yes when I rave it up the multimeter is showing 13.2 even. The bms is Same as yours 40 amp, 12.6 v .I would like to send the pics of the battery but ..

Just add 10 to 100uf capacitor after current sence resistance (shunt) to increase time of cut over discharge current (like 40A BMS). No machanical switch No Diodes needed

Bro i am using 4 lithium cells in series on my splendor which gives 2.5 amp and its without bms theres is stock 2.5 amp battery becos am using roots megasonic horns i installed them bcos jb ratt ko horn bajate the them sari led lights blink krti but now its fantastic but without bms ab tk vo lithium cells perfect work kr rahe never over heated and charge bhi proper ho rhe hai 13.80 to 14 volt. will they cause probelm in future if used without bms?? baki ab tkk to koi problem nhi ai am using it from 2 months 👍👍 and bro pls mention ur insta link iwant to discuss something ..

Bhai m bhi 4 cell series me use kr raha hu without bms ....koi problem nahi aarahi h ...lekin battery only 12% he charge rahti h ....kyoki ik cell ko 4.2 chahea charge hone k lea ...16.8 total ...leking byke 14.60 he deti h to 3.6v milta h ik cell ko ....jo cell ko charge he nahi hone deta ...bus cell ik capacitor ki tarah kaam krta h ....

नीम हकीम ,,, खतरा ए जान, इस BMS में गुरुजी मॉस्फेट लगे है, और ये 40Amps output आराम से देगा, आप यु ट्यूब वाले पहले इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स को पढ़े, स्टार्टर को 10-15 Amps चाहिए। अलग से बटन की जरूरत नहीं है।

Battery k parallel ma 4700uF (or more) 25 V k kuch capacitor parallel ma laga k b kam challa saktay hain. Battery pa ziada load b nai prhy ga aur BMS ko bypass krnay ki zaroorat b nai.

Bhai ek baat bola h ki bhai ek mini dc voltage meter laga do handle ke pass q ki battery show karte rahe q ki ham ko pata chalte rahe battery jyada charging toh nhi ho raha h

Shayad apko pata nhi h Bhai bms me overcharge, over discharge, over current, short circuit protection sab hoti hai. Extra switch ki jarurat nhi h. Kuch kuch bms me over temperature protection bhi hoti h. Apko 6amp ki battery banayi to apko max max to 10 amp bms hi use krni thi. 20 amp bahut jayada ho gya. Or sab li ion cell ki charge discharge cycle fix hoti h. Iske baad uski backup kam hone lagti h. Jaise ye sasti wali battery ki 200-300cycle tak hoti h. Koshish kre ki 1000cycle wale 18650 battery buy kre. Or 18650 me 2200 mah ki achchhi hoti h.

Bhai bms kai negative ko battery ke negative point se mila de toh kya yai kam karega ya nahi toh switch ka koi kam nahi hai aur ha bms toh 13ya14 volt positive and negative dono power leta hai toh positive mai toh koi dikkat nahi hai isliye negative mai bhi koi dikkat na ho mai bhi yahi pe atak gaya hu isliye mai switch nahi lagana chahata bhai kuch reply kar sakte ho aap mujhe please help me

Delay circuit se kaam ho jayega on/off switch ki zarurat nahi padegi. I have seen this delay circuit hack in another video.

brother in this video you are showing that it can be possible by using a Lithium polymer batteries intra motorcycles but there is a problem that every time we start power ignition and push the self start button automatically it just discharged I never turned on so there is a small solution I think I can help with that the solution is first locate the contact Relay of the motorcycle Then you'll sell two big conectors that screwed with the contact relay if you look closely you will notice two wires are coming from the push start self button just locate the connection and adjust a 12 volt relay to replace the switch that you are placing on the side of a battery brother if you are not understand please contact me
