Seems you have good knowledge on electronics. Just make some more videos on same concept for precautions to be taken & CCA drawn while self start with multimeter. This will decide the correct amp rating of the battery & BMS. I am planning to build a Lifepo4 but want to baypass self starter to make battery of smal size.

The charge voltage for serial connect 3 cell is maximum 12,9 volt , vehicle charge support is13,9 volt . If the charging voltage exceeds 4.4 volts, the li-on batterie is destroyed..

Hi Rajat, Your other videos are great. But in this experiment the Li-ion battery needs cell balancing while charging. Even if you connect many Li-ion cell in series and parallel each cell voltages are different and some cells will be over charged and some cells will be under charged. Great effort though.

Use positive and negative terminal of bms to charge and discharge of lithium cell it safe to use with bms, don't recommend direct use of lithium cells into your bike. Use 40amp bms for self-start.

Even i am thinking to replace my platina battery. It's been almost 3and half yr old now and getting some issues in self start. This battery back we made is 12v ampere are definitely higher than the stock like 4,5,6 amp. But i am bit confused about the charging circuit. Couse when i checked the terminals without battery ( after kick start) there is 14.2-14.4 volts. Stable that charger the battery and divides according to usage like headlamp, tail light, horn or indicators. So the point is 12v bms can handle the higher voltage regularily? And doesn't harm to lithium ion batteries or bike too. Pls answer if u understand what i am trying to saying.

Bro these batteries are 3c & 1200ma. The calculation is 3*1.2=3.6A & every you have 5 series in parallel so 3.6*5= 18A max. Starter motor can easily take over 50A for pulsar 220. Don't do this. This could be fatal. Lithium Polymer battery is used for 30c rating and for this case they can easily provide 1.2*30*5=180A. But the issue is they are very costlier then lead acid battery so company is not using them. One 12v 6000mah battery can cost about 6000rs without BMS

Lithium ion is sensitive to heat. We dont even use lithium ion in airplanes anymore. When it was being used in airplanes. It resulted in several airplane crash.
