Not that he's much better, but shes so thick he prolly has to wash the BS and "greater than thou" snobbery off. I can just see a room full of all that narcissism in one place, it's like 5G amplifies it. Makes me want to toss my cookies.

“…going to bed with a very old sailor.”😂😂😂 Wow. What a way to be described; old sailors are probably offended by this. The fact that Wallis considered herself the arbiter of social sophistication and gracious living makes this even richer. Like Harry’s wife, Wallis seemed oblivious to the less desirable aspects of their relationships, ignoring bad press and cherishing all other references as a true reflection of their contributions to society. Harry, like David, is unable to see further than his nose. Every part of their life has been part of history by virtue of their birth but the whole world exists only as it relates to THEM. There’s no awareness of the place for rules and protocol except as it relates to how they’re treated, how they’re received. The history of the Royal Family began and ended with their arrival on the scene; all effort must go into making THEM look good.

Well, she HAS been on more yachts, boats and on the sea than sailors.. and she probably have the vulgarity of a port knocker. The more the book went on the more we find that people thought of her as a CRASS Coco Channel knock off. As my grandmother said... "putting a piece of sh-t in gold foil does not and will not ever make it Godiva".

Jealousy is a most destructive emotion which has nothing to do with sex. It's about power and control, and at the core is a deep feeling of inadequacy and a desperate longing to be loved. It requires denial of the truth and irrational thought..On the surface these people seem to think they are superior, number one, but deep inside they believe they are pond scum, riddled with self-hatred and guilt. They are the most miserable beings on earth. Thanks again, Cheere, for your insight, humor, and for compassion for the unlovable.

Holy moly these two. Speechless. What a nasty state of affairs. Literally. They just don't care about anything or anyone. Def not being of service. I wonder if the Palace knew of his bi/homosexual tendencies and so supported the whole Wallace thing and used that as an excuse to get him off the throne. I see so many red flags with him (more from him attracting scandal vs orientation) so they knew he couldn't be anywhere near the throne. The late Queen did everything she could to reduce the chaos like this but it seems she was the exception. Look at Margaret, Andrew, Harry, and Charles. Only Edward, Anne and William seem stable, although Charles is settled now. Great retelling. This book just gives and gives

My take on W and younger man is different. She still felt the same as she did when she was twenty younger and he, was just her type , a young David full of energy, bi-sexual, interesting and funny. David, no longer that man, would have been deeply wounded by this alone. Add to that the complications and pain of dealing with his emotional feelings and jealousies. This would have suited the sadistic Wallace just fine.

Good point. Having children changes most people. Some, not all that never have children miss out on the maturation of loving someone more than yourself. There's a deepening that happens for most when becoming a parent. Wallace and Simpson reminds me of this. Nothing to break the narcissism that goes with youth. Children change that.
@fabulousnewt770
@fabulousnewt770 6 ай бұрын
I must respectfully disagree that having children is the only thing that changes you. Many of my friends with children have a variable saying that 'when you have kids you understand these things' and I think, 'if you didn't understand these things before you had kids maybe you shouldnt have had any'. Of course having kids changes you but not having them doesn't mean you put yourself first. In fact you are more likely to invest outside the family because you have more time. Having kids only makes you love your own kids more than yourself. In a lit of cases not having them simply means you find other things to love more. It's usually the childless daughter who takes on the role of carer for the elderly patents. It's not cut and dry. I know a lot of mothers who indulge in the cult of motherhood, it's all they talk about, and are definately the centre of their own universe.

It seriously creeps me out how identical David and Wallis are to Harry and Meghan. There have been rumours for years about Harry’s sexuality, if he could be bi or at the very least have bi sexual tendencies (I’m not 100% if I believe it, plus, it is rumours and gossip after all which I don’t like to buy into, however, there have been a few men come forward and have told strange stories about what Harry has done to them, which, I don’t think someone would publicly say without truth behind it because we all know Harry loves to sue people and Harry hasn’t sued any of these men 🤔) Plus, the strange extra close relationship Meghan has with Marcus, who is rumoured to be gay just like Wallis’s little play thing. Every move David and Wallis have made in this biography, Harry and Meghan have virtually made in their lives too, even down to Wallis having a hysterectomy and Meghan rumoured to have had one prior to meeting Harry (again, I’m not going to 100% believe that until it is confirmed to be true, however, Meghan has never denied those rumours either which isn’t like her to not deny something) Even Wallis’s grotesque habit of gluttony when it comes to clothes, that’s Meghan all over and the way Wallis now doesn’t refer to David as the Duke like she use to insist on, Meghan recently referred to Harry as “This one”. I guess the old saying “History repeating itself” exists for a reason, because history is most definitely repeating itself between David, Wallis, Harry and Meghan, it is creepy!! 😬

When you started this book, I must admit I didn’t know a lot about this couple, so I went and watched an interview that they did later in their marriage and I can’t bond the two different stories; the way they seemed to think of themselves and their own legacy with who they really are in this book! It’s as if they were re-writing their past together and still saw themselves as a ‘love’ for the ages. It’s perplexing.

Jimmy Donohue was also the first cousin to Barbara Hutton… And the actress Dina Merrill, who strangely grew up at Mar-a-Lago

Chat room, forums, the internet were not about in the time of Edward - so it's not contemporary information. Although the ''common'' (parkland) pick up is well known. Excellent as always.

According to Wendy Berry, Prince Andrew liked to put his "ornaments" out as a "joke". But, someone I knew used to fill a wine glass with one of his "bubbles" as a party trick.

@krishnavyas313 The book is out of print, and the price has skyrocketed. Another youtuber I follow is reviewing the book as she had a copy at home.

The Duke can't leave Wallace - he gave away a kingdom for her! Too much humiliation.

Quite the chapter 😂. Obviously when you are wealthy with too much time on your hands you can fall into some weird stuff. I guess that is why we have jobs.😂. Thanks for another interesting read.❤

oh man, i have to feel sorry for the Duke. maybe if he'd had some proper therapy to deal with his childhood issues and lived at a time when being gay was totally fine, even for a future king, he could have had a much better life.

Oh yeah, but you have to smart about it. Gay chat rooms seem like a weird place to go to pad your respectable and well researched book with further details.

I read the Mathew Perry book when it was released. I cried,it's very sad and depressing and when I finished I thought he is not long for this world because I thought I had understood that he had lung cancer. Then he died of drugs. I cried again because he was one of my favorites. Looking forward to your take.
