I like to think that Ice Nine Kills is the perfect gateway drug towards metalcore
@TylerRossow Жыл бұрын
Definitely one of them!
@marshalljordan595611 күн бұрын
Eeeeessshhh lol I gotta slightly disagree. You could take their catalog and CREATE the perfect gateway to metalcore album. But you could also create an album from their catalog that is a gateway to like...deathcore, grindcore, groove metal. And an album of just pure goofcore. Kinda why they're one of my all time favs. You know it's ink when you here it, but they have diversity locked up.

Yes, it is; it's played in different registers throughout the songs; when it first comes in, it's like 2 octaves higher than what you hear in the outro (the one that OP played)

Great playing and nice selection of riffs! I was surprised you put Stabbing so high on the list. That's a relatively easy riff compared to the rest you have demonstrated. It was the first (and so far only) INK riff I have learned. I mean I learnt the whole song, but that intro riff is not that difficult.

Only now just getting into this band starting with Silver Scream. are the older albums as adventurous? great playing man makes me want to listen to so much more INK
@coldtea7 Жыл бұрын
They definitely can be, INK is a band built through experience and it’s absolute journey to listen to. Even early on with Last Chance To Make Amends you can see what they would become. As time got on they grew into their sound and began to explore it, but honestly check all of it out. The burning and Safe Is Just A Shadow especially. While somethings in the songs feel awkward on them, they also have some of the absolute best riffs, choruses and song writing INK has.

since i’m like not even a intermediate guitarist yet i’m still learning a hip to be scared. I can do the chorus, breakdown, and most of the verses.
