Another great video. I'd not heard of this feud. I was thinking not long ago, the Appalachian Mountains were the home of several feuds, some of which took several lives; but only a handful of them are remembered today.

My mother was born and raised in Arkansas, grew up there in the 1920s, 1930s. Growing up, she heard a lot of stories about feuds in the southeastern part of the United States, where whole families were killed. I never heard of this particular feud myself, but I believe you are correct Leo, that story of a " ninja " teenage girl was pure b.s. This is a very sad story, But I suppose that is what times were like back then. Beautiful cemetery, someone is taking care of it. Thank you very much Leo and Heather, for telling this story. Thank ya'll for another interesting video. It seems that a lot of fued issues started over something stupid. Which quickly escalated out of control and spilled over to innocent people. Even though a 9 year old girl in 1909 is not the same as a 9 year old today, a child should never have been involved in this, nor her mother. They were sucked into this simply because someone that didn't bother to check their target or surroundings just started shooting blindly. What did these idiots expect to happen ? It is amazing that there were no retaliatory strikes to avenge the duo. I understand the mentality of a family standing together and striking back at an injustice against them, but didn't these people use their brains at all. Apparently not. If you were going to retaliate, then you go get the one or so people you're looking for, but don't shoot at anything and everyone just to be doing something. Another stupid senseless I'll thought out act. May mother and daughter find the peace that escaped them in life. God bless ya'll for what ya'll do. Thank you for all the effort ya'll put into these stories. Stay safe on your travels.

I've been looking for heathers last " haunt" ann haven't spotted it can you give me a date when she will be doing it? Growing up in nys I never heard of any of the feuds in your part of the country! My school system has changed dramatically since I went there.
