Watch The Shuttleworth Collection's engineers refit the wings to the 1912 Blackburn Monoplane - the oldest airworthy British aircraft in the world!
The Blackburn first came into the workshop in March 2023 to have a cracked fuel union replaced.
Once in the workshop, the engineers discovered that additional work was needed and worked hard to replace a cracked fuel union, recover the wings and elevators, and replace a wing warping cable.
Remedial repair work was also carried out on the wing structures, including replacing one of the trailing edges and repairing the root end ribs.
You can see Blackburn Monoplane here at Shuttleworth.
