Just saw one of these at Cruisin The Coast in Biloxi Mississippi a few hours ago! Immediately came home to research it. It was awesome and so beautiful! Wish I could post a picture on here. ❤️

Swanky ride, Zack!!! Even in a Model A, the rear sets got the luxury treatment. The 1929 standard fordor has a rubber floor mat up front and wool carpeting in the rear.

My 1995 car can't get to 100, yet this one from 1930 could...

On what basis did you come to the conclusion that a 1930 Cadillac of ANY series could reach 100 mph? Include in your discussion what the rear axle ratios were. ( oh well...typical Internet poster)

@@6686L i didnt imply he was faking his info. i just said my car can't do it. a 2000's Nissan Leaf can't beat a 1960's Corvette either in top speed. anyway, i'm not interested in an argument with another typical internet poster, have a nice day and leave me alone please.

Really cool car. Thanks for the video. I'm disappionted that in talking about synchromesh vs. non-synchromesh transmissions you did not mention "granny shifting, not double clutching like you should."

Those headlights look weird. Did they put 12v sealed beams in the 6v headlight buckets?
@ShootingCars3 жыл бұрын
Unsure, but it was using a 12v battery so I would assume!

Hello I’m starting to get into cars and I was wondering about your 1990 Nissan 180sx video and I was wondering if you can change the transmission (sorry if it’s a dumb question)
@ShootingCars3 жыл бұрын
You could do a transmission swap but it is a lot of work

“Coulda had a v16!” The v16 is way way way to expensive. Like, $300,000? That’s way to much! And they typically cost way more! But these v12 models are way way way cheaper! And the v12 models are bargains! They are beautiful and ultra luxurious! Well, for the early 1930s.

You gotta stop fighting your expectations. Its like a task for your demographic to compliment this automobile, instead of belittling it, and then shutting your mouth when you realize how not dated it works. I mean, I know your the type of person that think it came in one plush seating color material and had two colors for the exterior. I mean honestly, you think the cadillac is underrated? What about Stutz? Studebaker, Viking, Buick in 1930 which had 48 color choices, Oldsmobile, Marmon, Nash, Ford Chevrolet Pontiac Reo Plymouth and on and on and on! You are belittling a very intelligent era full of real life ideas, like having more than 2 working companies and some dubby little model t trotting around next to this "top of the line" cadillac. You know what is top of the line, a 1925 Diane, or a 1929 Willys Knight. Really just invest a hard second into looking at this era next time you see a 1932 Hot rod and think "so 30's WoH!" Despite only representing 1932 only. I wouldn't be so harsh if it wasn't for the taboo of saying nice things about the past, and the overall fact of there being only 5 percent of american society that knows about any of these names I just listed.
