1932 Cadillac V8 V-8 Series 355-B at The Klairmont Kollections on My Car Story with Lou Costabile

On "My Car Story" we're in Chicago IL at The Klairmont Kollections museum on 11-9-15.
We're looking at a 1932 Cadillac Sedan “Series 355-B” with a V-8 engine, and a body by Fisher Fleetwood. Can you imagine the view of seeing this gorgeous car coming down the road?

Very nice Cadillac. The doors sound like a bank vault closing because this is a Coach Built Car, meaning its all wood body coach work and the interior looks like original too. This Cadillac was the base model with the V-8 but the V-12 and V16 which were usually produced by Fleetwood Coach work although there are some v-12 which were produced by Fisher.Note the Fisherwoman Body Tag, this was the Coach used in Napoleon Bonaparte's wedding. I love the Cadillac's and Lasalle 1932 and 1933. Harley Earl did a fine job when he took over the design of these cars I think in 1930. Beautiful car, thank you.

Nice - I have a similar one but with fleetwood body. The main issue is that the carb intake is mated to the exhaust header block, the square piece in the middle, and the carb is buried between the two lateral manifolds as you can see in the video, so that gasoline boils up real quickly in the carb - aka percolation - with today's gasoline, which is a lot more volatile compared to back then. I drive mine often, re-routed the exhaust away from the carb

Hi, you have a V-8 in a Fleetwood bodied car? I thought all the v-16 and some of the v-12 were Fleetwood, I didn't think Fleetwood built and v-8's. Learn something new every day I guess.
