The first car I remember riding in as a kid was my dads 39 Chevrolet. When I was about 8 years old I would move the car around the farmyard stepping on the starter and peering through the steering wheel to see where I was going. If the car battery was too dead to start my dad would just crank it. Tough old car. Glad you will bring it back to life. Enjoy all your videos, thanks.

My dad once owned this exact model: his Grandpa gave it to him after the back end got burnt up in a fire. Dad pulled the motor from it, and then dumped the remains over a cliff in the bush (as was common back then). Turns out the location is less than two miles from my house, and the car is still there over 65 years later! Hope you fix up that '39; one of my first model kits was a '39 coupe, and always loved the design. Looking forward to watching you drag those Corvairs from that barn too.

I have been watching your videos for a while now and your content is top notch and just so dam interesting. I don't know how you don't have 7 million subscribers!? One of the best channels out there. The range of content is impressive, the honest and lack of drama style is very appreciated. But my favorite point is your real world, "I will do this as cheap as I can because I don't like the price of this or that and i can make it myself". I would give you a dream shop if i could just so you had more room for more old equipment to help build more awesome stuff. I wish idiot people wouldn't have opened their blowholes about your little drag car, thus turning your off on making videos on it. I was very interested in your build of that car. This kind of channel RIGHT HERE IS REALITY TV at its realest. Im a big pontiac guy and hoping you eventually build that trans am and also that 62 grandprix. You sir keep doing what you do.

I remember you digging around and plans made to make it run and there was excitement in your voice. You don't lack for stuff to do, maybe put the spare tire on since thats its job and I know you will not chop the top and put bags with a LS engine crap when that 216 took many a passenger or at least the driver a good 72000 miles. I really doubt there is anything wrong with the oil unless you'ns got oil worms. It is a really solid car and it might take half as long to clean as it will take to fix. It's only old once then it takes on a new life. I wouldn't be afraid to do a interior restore and of course fix frame and rot outs but otherwise, its a driver. That blue was so pretty when new and since it was so dark in there, a lot of the paint may still exist. Good friends leaving something to remember him by.... I hope he ain't the guy that owned that big acreage that had a little of everything on it as he was getting up there. Good for you Jonathan
