Had a 49 that I showed in high school. That six cylinder with a oil bath air filter was industructable.

That logo is the Mayflower that docked at Plymouth Rock MA. I have a 1950 Plymouth Special Deluxe with Overdrive . Sure helps at highway speeds. !950 was the last year for the woodgrain dash.

My Great Uncle had one just like it pastel green with a sun visor. He lived to a month shy of his 100th Birthday. He drove it up till about age 95 we use to walk to his house for a visit back in the mid 60's that back seat sure seemed huge to a 5 year old as he drove us home. He had given the car to one of his sons later a grandson wrecked it my brother and I looked to see if we could fix it there was way too much damage.

Just picked up a beautiful Survivor… 1949 dodge deluxe four-door… 37,800 miles… Mint interior… Hasn’t been driven on the road since 1972… Presents beautifully… Love these cars… Super reliable… Back in the 70s I drove my 52 Dodge halfway across Canada and back! We still have that car but the rust demons have attacked it and we have yet to fix it.

Alternate is part of 12 volt conversion, it came with a generater

The "nautical theme" as you question is in relation to the Plymouth as in the ship, the Plymouth. Remember history class ...notice the ship on the hood ornament?

Original 6 volt generator will have 2 oilers, and there is an oiler on the distributor .

I have 51 plymouth Cambridge but would probably prefer a 51 chevy
