1957 Ford Commercial -2 door Sedan & 2 Door Hardtop

A little bait and switch here. the car commercial starts out as a 2 door sedan. Filled with luxury features. The narrator speaks to the Low Ford Price......but at the end of the commercial, the car turns into the more expensive two door hardtop body style, retaining the same color scheme. Sneaky!!!!

No, you're wrong MrTheMiguelox, the Car in the commercial is indeed a Sedan, you can see the entire frame when the Model opens the door. The car morphs into a Hardtop at the end (you see the license plate change too). at the 29 second mark, you can see the door frame around the window an even the inside rubber gasket around the frame. It's definitely a Sedan body style

My Dad's 1957 Ford was the first new car he bought, a stripper 2-door sedan with an inline 6 and three-on-the-tree. It was like a race to see whether it would rust out before it used too much oil to drive anywhere. (The rust won!)

The 1957 Fords were junk,you don't see many of these since most of them went in the crusher.Getting hard to find the 1957 Fords these days

I don't like to see negative comments, but on this one, i'll let it stand as it's factually correct. They rusted away very fast, they may have outsold Chevy but boy, the 57 Chevy has a significantly higher survival rate. Although the Ford probably has a higher survival rate than the Plymouth of the same year which too suffered a lot of quality issues and rust issues.

@@OsbornTramain The Chevy is overrated!! That's all. The '57 ford fairlane 500 was and is a super car. By the way, all 1957 cars rusted FAST!! All of them did.

Next door neighbor has one. Better carb and exhaust, but otherwise stock. It feels faster than any similar Chevy of this vintage that I've been in.
