A channel goes from the Cowl to the fender. makes water puddle and rush the fuck out of the fenders. 60's design .....

I know this is 3 years to late but will help u next time buyanother truck same as that or close enough for parts I had an 84 gmc 4x4 and needed alot stuff so I went out and bought an 84 chevy the only thing wrong withe chevy no motor lol everything else was good so i swaped bodies but still kept parts from the 84 gmc in case i needed it

making several marks on your panel helps,do it like,1 inch,threw ten or twelve inches.that just gives you a more accurate finished product.also do one panel at a time when you can.by not cutting the brace out while you had already cut the fender panel,this would give you a stop or go to point with panel.then cut the brace out.never cut the original stop points,until you are sure its perfect.this will help whentyou go realign the fender.did this many times,also run a restoration shop.

Problem with these fenders has never been addressed.I have a Idea that will fix this and the floor problem.A friend of mine said that fender has a catch all.the brace needs to be modified.So that dirt and crap can be stuck in there.Make a bracket that is open and that can drain with out catching any Dirt

need to find better cars trust me my buddy has a 65 with no rust with no dents in body good crome for 500 just got a 68 chev pu perfect body with build 327 400 turbo for 1000 it even has factor paint faded needs painted putting 454 stroker in it that i got for 500 with the 400 turbo have many more 66 gt fast back dart for 50 these deals i get all the time if not for free like 36 foot motor home with a 454 400 turbo all fiber class nice in side and out we scrap cars better then this take the good parts and scrap the rust
