when my ex was young he had a 64 1/2 Falcon Sprint that flew down the road.

Was a solid lifters version ever offered?
@BowdensOwn2 жыл бұрын
Not that I am aware of from the factory mate. The H&M race prepped ones might have, the Alan Mann ones a few years later could have too.

You lucky lucky boy!!!! My dream car is a 64 sprint … So so desperate to find a RHD ….. think there all gone
@BowdensOwn3 жыл бұрын
Hey Martin, I converted this to RHD when I first bought it as the rules here in Queensland necessitated it being RHD if I was to register it as my everyday driver back then. I was never aware of any Falcon sprint being made in RHD or converted down here as we already had the local 2 door falcon in production. There were a few Mustangs though!

I am building a 64 FIA replica. Well done Sir. An American here. Love these cars. Where can I purchase the wheels you have on this car? I cannot locate them.
@BowdensOwnАй бұрын
Hi mate, the rims on the Sprint were a replica wheel from the 80's made by a company in South Australia that sadly no longer exists. But good news is the orginal Minilites have been remade and can be accessed by a few businesses who now resell them, Google this; "15" Minilite alloy wheels" to help you find them. Hope it helps, enjoy the project.

I love this video. I've seen it more than once. Was it converted to Right hand drive before you got it? Looks pretty well done and it had to been a lot of work.
@BowdensOwn7 жыл бұрын
Better to have a late rely than never: We had to convert it here in Australia due to the registration rules at the time. I was using it as an everyday car here where we live in Qld, if i had it registered as a classic/ occasional concessional registration I could have kept it LHD, but was not to be. We used Aussie falcon parts and a few racing bits that our friend KB had sourced for the Falcon and as i did not want to totally butcher it, it was a big job. But drives a dream now!

Hi @BowdensOwn do you have any more details on the RHD conversion? Where did you get it done or what aussie falcon parts did you use? I'm keen on importing a 64 Sprint from the States and would love to make it RHD!

@@Lithfkn sorry again for the late reply... an XM Firewall, but went later flacon to have something better to drive with XY GT 16:1 steering box and rack there. XY stubs and brakes as well.

What color is this, and is it factory?
@kylegertridge34799 ай бұрын
And can you share the wheel specs on this? Love the minilites!
@BowdensOwn9 ай бұрын
@@kylegertridge3479 hi mate, originally it was a Ming Green, but when it was resprayed they made it a little bit darker than the factory colour to match Aussie Brian "Yogi" Muir's Sprint that also raced in the UK. The wheels are a 15"x7" Aussie minilite replica that were made in the 80's, before they started remaking minilites and not made anymore.

Thank you! If you know it, could you share the offset/backspacing and even the tire specs? I think it sits the best of any falcon I’ve seen and am looking to begin my own project.
