Hi from Sweden! Thanks for a really great video post! I'm a new owner since a couple of weeks back of my first Mustang ever, it's a 65 Coupe. Very thankful that I found this video. I know that my 2 horns work after a check with the 12v car battery but not when pressing the 3-spoke metal horn part on the steering wheel. So I'm looking forward in solving this in a day or two. =) Thanks again!

Really glad I found your video! I am a new owner to a 65 Coupe and my horns aren't working well, and I'm not sure where to start. I need to invest in a volt meter and see what's going on, because when I go to test the horns, one horn honks and cuts out, and the other one stays on but doesn't sound great. I think you mentioned the possibility of a voltage drop, or I may be thinking of another video, but either way, I'm really glad you posted this - thank you!

Thanks for watching and commenting! You can find wiring diagrams online, but basically that yellow wire from the headlight switch carries 12v up the column to the horn button, and when the button is depressed, the contact sends voltage to the horn. The lack of a relay or even an inline fuse is simple but not as safe. A new turn signal/horn combo switch can be found online for about $40 and is well worth it.
