Yet another great video. My doors are good but I have to weld a patch panel on both sides of my bed just above the rear tires. This video was great for helping me understand what and how much to cut out. My mig welding skills are okay from 10 years of working on stock cars, but my metal fabricating skills worry me!

This will really help my 58 chevy truck repair. But my mounting for the hinge on the door is ripped out at the bolt holes. Is there a liner or repair that can fix the hinge mount?

My outside skin is beautiful but the inside panel is kinda shit where the outside is rolled over. Can I fix this without cutting the outside skin?

It's not likely. Your probably going to at a minimum pry back the outer skin to get to the inner metal.

@@danjim7056 Check out our other videos about sheet metal repair. We have one specifically about repairing the lower corner of the door. We repair the outer, but you'll get a good look at how it all goes together.

Not really, you have to use whatever you can on your door to reference the part goes back on in the right spot. Sometimes when there is nothing at all to reference, we actually recommend hanging the door on the cab and using the rocker panels for reference.
