I had a question if you don't mind, my tail panel is prefect, but my rear valance isn't in the best shape. Do I have to replace the tail panel as well out could I just cut out the old valance and install a new one?

The lower valance fits under the taillight panel, if the damage is on the lower valance is below the bumper mount area ( flat area ) it could be cut off there and just lap the new lower valance over and weld into place using the bumper bolt holes as a reference. I'm sure you'll have to do some trimming.

im dropping a floor pan in, rear valance is off. how far do i set the trunk pan from the rear frame cross member ? there is a lip on the rear frame cross member (same as clock hands 6:15 position) and the trunk pan has a lip (same as clock hands 9:00 0'clock position) do i bring the floor pan flush or a 1/4 inch past cross member ? thank you and the tips you have are great.

Align the front edge of the floor pan with the corresponding lip of the rear floor pan and the rear of the floor pan will be in the correct position. If this is your first time, I would STRONGLY recommend the pan be positioned and held into place with a few screws and the rest of the panels to be replaced aligned and "mocked up" then there will be no alignment issues/problems before welding.
