Thanks coach! For teaching me so much! You sure help take the fear out of the process, and replace it with confidence. You are one of my mentors and you may not even realize it. 🤔 Because of you and your videos I completely cut off the front half of my Charger and replaced it. 😎👍 Thankyou soo much… I am ever so grateful to you.

Im in the process of rebuilding my hinges on my Duster, same deal as yours, and I would've liked to see the true process of rebuilding the lower hinges. Since it doesn't have bushing from the factory, the metal take the hit around the pin and we can see you still have play in your hinges at @5:45 . The doors doesn't have any play yet, 'cause all the weight is supported by the upper hinge, But it's only a matter of time before those upper bushing start giving up. Nevertheless you did an amazing job on that door skin, Im looking forward the next video!

As always great work and video Dave. Thanks for the hinge pin part number. I need to replace those on the wagon. You make the door skin replacement look easy. Looking forward to the rest of this build. I’ll be paying close attention to the 1/4 skin replacement. Dillon and I need to do that on the 71 Charger.

Top job Dave. I don't want to be that guy that goes hay i got a 70 sport saty. But i have the same colour ect. It's in pretty good shape it was a pop's car and after having it for 17 years and jnr now 21 it's time for me. The door pins is a big tip for me thank you. And only the 4 corners of the window and center sectoin of the trunk ( between the chassis rails ) and a 50 cent coin spot of rust on the r/h sill qauter section to do and very very minor dents I'm hanging to gtx clone it. After 30 years of being out of the panel shop every day. I'm hanging to get started on it. These tips will be very helpful. Thanks mate. 👍🇦🇺

Door skins are satisfying. They look great. I cringed when you used those welding clamp vice grips on em", but given how fearless you are with an air chisel, you obviously have the skill to use em' on that. Put a pair of door skins on my mini the year the first minivan came out (82'?). It was long before lizard skin and MIGs were rare so we brazed em' in. Heat warped one door and a bodyman I knew walked over to the door on the car and put his foot at the bottom, grabbed the top of the door and applied the perfect amount of "tweek", shut the door.....perfect. We welded in new floor pans, more outer rockers, deseamed the entire car on all four corners and welded in a plate with four welded nuts, into the firewall bulkhead frame, to install the ultimate extra motor mount that finally transferred the power without tearing out the other motor mounts or subframe out of the floor(again). Really digging this project of yours. I remember watching the wing cars dominate NASCAR when they came out. I was already a Petty fan and we were thrilled when he came back to Plymouth and that "Super car". Best driver, best car, no tire could hang with him in that car. Keep up the great work.👍 Malcolm Ottawa Valley

What about using the 3M durabond on these panels??
@rustbucketrestos65112 ай бұрын
I've seen shockingly good results with that stuff! My only concern is how long it's going to last. A few spot welds & you won't ever have to worry about your door skin ever again. Cheap insurance!

Not grinding or filing off the staking at the bottom of the pins before banging them out?

Question. Why don't you spray the lizard skin on both sides? is it not compatible with the zero rust? Love the content! You show things that "other channels" don't!

I ended up just making mine from some scrap I had laying around. Picked up some wheels from Home Depot & made it work. I have a diy on them early In the Charger series.
