My dad had a new 634 just like that. I found it again in 1990, restored it and won a first place in the Antique Snowmobile Club of America meet in Waldron Colorado In maybe 1997. Loved it !

Had a puma 760 , what a beast, smoked all the neighborhood competition, actually started fights on my school bus over it, love those deafening side pipes❤

You could buy a speedometer kit and install one as an option on these. The downside is for all the noise. The stock ones made they weren’t all that fast probably 70 mph with a huge tailwind was all you’re going to get. Now the racers with a modified 760 they were much faster. The 70 Panther our business built back in the day was clocked at 85mph. Which was incredibly fast for 1970. However fast forward just a few years and the 1972 EXT 440 triples could hit that. This machine is a beautiful snap shot of 1970-71. A moment in time.

Very cool! Had a couple of these years ago. Kinda wish the pipes had exited from the side of the belly pan vs. going out the front and wrapping around, since the skis tend to bash the header on lumpy terrain.

very nice example of early 70s big bore sled. two families in our area had one of these in 70s/early 80s. machines were monsters but badly abused. one sled lasted about 10 years, the other maybe 15.

@denniskoolstra38707 жыл бұрын
Yes they are. The 760's were standard with Montana pipes and the 634 was optional. They were discontinued because people burned themselves wit them, so they threw them all away. Wish I could find a set for my 634.
