1971 Evinrude 25HP

I have the exact same one, what I need to know is how did you do it? Then what are the parts that I would need? I cleaned the lower end, then painted it Black. Should have stuck with Evinrude blue. I don't have a starter bracket or the solenoid or the push button start. But this motor does have the tooth fly wheel! Any help would be helpful & appreciated!

I have one like this too. mine has a kill button but I can run the idle so low it will turn off. is this how it should sound at idle? mine sort of wants to turn off when you slow the idle to a softer noise.

from where cooling water goes out.? l see from the water goes out from the exhaust. is that?
