Personally I think a long rear fender about half way down the tire with a tombstone light would look cool. No front fender. But that's just my thinking of old school. Good video dude.

That might be a good look to it. I just didn’t want the fender to appear like it’s missing a rear seat.

Use brass sleeve. If you have to drill from back so you can grease it so it slides

I think an idea is an old FL fender on the rear with a tombstone taillight would look great, (I'm building my bike with that rear selection as well.) As for the springer, use brass bushings. The top would have been held centered by the original washers. Man that is one SWEEEET looking scoot!!!!!!!! I wish I could put a pic of mine on here! I'll send a pic on Facebook of my bike as it sat a few months ago.

It's been 30 years or so, following a buddy, he went over some tracks and his front end split. He was bruised up but made it. It also was a no name frontend. As a long time springer rider, I would not ride that front end. Looks nice, but that is all, has seen it's better days if it had any to begin with. Just a thought.💭
@butlercustoms
@butlercustoms 10 күн бұрын
I’m thinking a pivoting brace would help a whole lot. But that springer must have tons of stories it could tell. It looks sound and safe enough to take on a test ride, so I’ll let everyone know how it goes.

Keep the rear shocks and use the short black fender. How about a spoke front wheel? Name? “Butler’s Iron”. I think the reason that your viewers are nice, is because your calm and friendly demeanor encourages them to return it.

What about a narrower fuel filter? Like a visufilter?
@butlercustoms
@butlercustoms 10 күн бұрын
That would help. As long as it’s not glass I’d be fine with that. I might try to find a percock where the spout is coming out the back of the bike instead of the front. That would clean it up a lot, shorten the distance, and give me better access to the petcock lever.
