I'm pretty sure that I have that same kit, that I'm installing now. Wiseco supplies an instruction sheet that describes how to measure the distance from the wrist pin to the front of the piston and, based on that measurement, which piston goes where and facing in which direction. I ALSO watched a video that says that that arrow points towards the front of the engine. I followed the latter. Needless to say, I'm having to spin the rear piston 180deg!

This kit I used had the new jugs and matching pistons and ring sets for each jug. So there was no measurements required. Not sure what kit you have but this kit went together very well. Thanks for commenting.

Wow man. I just discovered your channel. I recognized the paint on the tin work of your bike in the thumbnail, sinister blue pearl. Just because of the color I knew it was a 1998. Are you aware of the historical significance of that paint color, within the harley realm ? Some how I ended up with 2 bikes that are that color. In roughly 20 years i have only ever seen 1 other bike with that color.

That’s awesome. I didn’t know that paint was unique. It sure is a pretty color. I’ve got two other evos in the shop with almost that same color. One of them is in my latest video. Not sure if it’s the sinister blue pearl or not. thanks for watching and commenting. I’ll have to look up that paint and see if I can get the code. It would look good on an old truck.

Sorry about that. It’s been a couple of weeks. Had to wait on parts and such. But I’m back on track now. Will be posting again this week on a Harley revival and getting my son’s Yamaha road ready, a Honda VF1100 rebuild, a no start issue on a Harley softail, and a fat boy with a wiring problem. I've learned a ton about Harley in a short 6 hours watching your videos. Thanks! What do you think about someone buying a damaged bike salvaged because of frame damage. Heard they are totaling them even if it's just the swing arm because they can no longer warrantee the bikes. I keep seeing them at auction.

I’ve seen Harley’s totaled out before simply because the crash bar broke the tab on the frame. A salvaged bike here in TN requires a rebuild with pics and documentation of work done and then a state inspection to get it titled as Rebuilt. However, some caution bikes come with clean titles. It’s all on how the insurance companies settle the loss. Thank you for your kind words!

funny. i have 2 bikes both 20 years old. first a 2 stroke 250 that runs 12 seconds at 100 mph 1/4 mile. the 2nd a 400cc inline 4 that runs 12 flat at 110 mph 1/4 mile. after all this money and time will this/your bike do anywhere close to that?

V Twin makes them. It’s the 83” kit that comes with the Wiseco pistons. The cam is an Andrew’s V51 and the lifters are Fueling HP+
