My 71’ Cutlass S had these wheels on it some people thought they were Buick rims but they were Oldsmobile. Btw- my last name means “cousin” in Italian.

I worked at a Buick/Oldsmobile dealership in 1976. I remember when we got our first 1977’s. I always have preferred the 1976 Cutlass, but I realize that after 45 years beggars can’t be choosers!

I had a 1979 Chevy truck with a 77 olds 350 4 barrel. A few times I put the trans in 1st gear and nailed it until 5,000 rpm and bumped it into 2nd. The trio had 2” dual exhaust with no converters. It roared pretty good. If I put it in drive and nailed it the engine would only go up to 3,800 rpm.

i am just curious, after bringing the car back to life, with low miles with it being so many years old. one if you take care of it tune ups etc how long would it last? do you think it would hold up with lets say 400,000 or more for ex the transmission?

Apparently you have never owned a car with a quadra-jet. In particular under cold start conditions. That it absolutely common if it's not completely warmed up. I guess you missed the part where 99.9% of the video, the car kicked ass?? And you also missed the part where the car sold and the new owner loves it.
