Hello mate, my car 1982 was bought without an radio from factory I think have now an blaupunkt Porto 21 gonna install the Becker Europa to but I don’t have the antenna switch for up and down so when I turn my radio on and wanne listen an cassette the antenna comes all the way up always, I would like to install an antenna switch is that easy to do just buy the switch and put it in or have to do all the wiring tue all the of the car ?

Pop off the wood panel to get access to the switch harness. Plug in the switch. You also have to make sure the antenna controll wire is plugged into the back of the radio.

@@JackSparrow-sq2uv yes I can't imagine anyone would have cut the cable out that the switch attaches too. The important wire that may be missing is the wire that plugs into the back of the radio and controls the up and down. It's just a single wire that plugs in right next to the main radio power.

@@JackSparrow-sq2uv the hardest part of what you're doing is getting the wood panel off. First remove the wood panel around the climate control and take out the climate control unit. Then you can reach up behind the switch panel and try to push the plug through the opening in the wood that way you don't need to remove the wood.
