As soon as Marino arrived the defense started to slowly regress. By 1986-1988 the Miami D was a total shambles.

The Orange Bowl did not sell out, so the game couldn't air on: WPLG Miami WPEC West Palm Beach (now CBS) WEVU Fort Myers (now WZVN) Another MNF game between these teams in Miami was blacked out in 1991.

Loved the 80-85 Dolphin teams. Killer bees were a gr8 defense, wish they could have won a title.

Yes. He played 5 seasons which can be regarded as full and complete...4 of those years he had 60+ catches and over 1,000 and just barely missed doing it a 5th time (back when yes, offenses were opening up but it wasn't the track meet 100 receptions a year nonsense you see now...defenses were still allowed to defend the pass)

Unfortunately the Oilers Dolphins game is one of the few 83 Dolphins games that don't currently have. Would live to find it though.

The Anderson-led Bengals won 2 straight division titles in 1981 and 82. Then in 1983 came the most horrific face-mask tackle on Monday Night vs. the Steelers, and it was feared Anderson had a broken neck. But against doctor's orders he came right back and led the NFL, 3rd straight year, in passing completion percentage.

A heroic man. It is high time to recognize his accomplishments and put him in the NFL Hall of Fame. Long overdue. He played in the NFL from age 22 through age 37. He persevered through many tough and trying seasons. He more than makes the grade. Honor him.

If only Marino would have gotten there a year earlier. If he’s a rookie in 1982 I think they beat Washington. Woodley was awful and the long Riggins td run was the game. Marino out scores Theismann
