Unubtainium! Kaplan you're one cool s.o.b.!!! Keep saving us pieces of history! Thanks. The day will come when I will have the buck-olas to maybe bid on one of your bikes! My favorite is and always will be the 1985 Suzuki GS 1150e awesome bikes always been a dream of mine to own one! Maybe I will one day!

I read all about this bike 35 years ago when I was young man. The Yoshimura Suzuki GSXR750 could compete with litre bikes, like the 900 Ninja but smaller. The combination of air and oil cooling, 16 valves, and their inventive anti-dive brakes did the trick.

I know a guy that has a limited edition, showroom condition and I think less than 1000 actual miles..unfortunately, not for sale. Awesome bike!

I bought one back in 1987. My dealer found one still in a crate in Lee, NH . Fun bike to ride. Had a Kerker pipe on mine. Ended up selling it in mid 90s after I got married. Would like to have one more ride on it today. Haven’t owned a bike since

it's nice,,but there are a lot more than 199 produced,and quite few of them are still in the country,this particular bike is missing a few important LTD items,like the chain guard,rear set plates,no doubt it's a nice one,i have the same bike in my collection,the really rare,and rarest GSXR ever is the 1989 GSXR-RR,,only 32 of those went to Canada and none in the US,probably only about 12 left in the whole North American continent.

500 for Japan and 500 for export. Beautiful bike.

With all due respect…. They made / imported MORE than 199 of the 1986 GSXR750 limited.

Is this bike still available for sale?
@MrBobalony7 жыл бұрын
Definitely beautiful and super clean, lots of mods, too bad. I've never seen a totally stock one. I believe 500 were imported to the US according to an article published in Motorcyclist circa '85. I have one that was imported from Canada. I don't know how many Canada or Europe got. They weren't giving them to anybody with cash, Suzuki required a racers resume for review prior to sale approval. Mine is extremely well built. I believe these bikes got the best of the best parts, high tolerance blue printed assembly. I have 40k Kilometers on mine and it's as strong as the day I got it (15k Kilometers). Suzuki kicked ass that inaugural year and the Gxr LE is definitely a big part of it. Hella cool!

B#llshit.....Arlington Suzuki in Texas had one that i passed on for a red and black version stock edition.......about $400 price difference........truth is, they wobbled like noodle at speed and it was not until 2006 that the GSXR got its sh#t together....the '06 1000 is still one of the best superbikes ever made.......

Yes I too have read 500 were imported to the USA, not the 199 claimed in this video. And where is your helmet? Cant enjoy your bikes in the museum without a face or brain??. But this looks to be a very nice bike, but is missing some parts that should have been kept with the bike, maybe you still have or the new owner has them (license plate light cover, original exhaust and hanger, turn signals, handle bar ends, missing air box, brake and clutch levers are supposed to be black, missing LE chain guard,missing solo seat red side-marker reflectors, and the wind screen is not the original that came with the bike, it is missing the black dot-matrix that covered the back of the instrument cluster... etc) That Yosh pipe is era correct and rare though.

Well, I recently watched a video on the relaunch of the MV Agusta's back n '98 and it seems they used the same shite on the first 300 special orders. So, I guess the whole Clark Kent, Krypton story maybe true after all, whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!
