Thanks for the video! Just pulled out a tank in my 1986 f150 that’s been sitting 10+ years. I found about a pound of rust sitting in the bottom. Just ordered a new pump for my new tank!

Thanks for the great video, I just purchased a non running 88 f150. Needed inline fuel pump and in tank pump ( haven’t done the other tank yet) and a computer. Got it running. Major accomplishment for me to figure out what was going on. Never took on a project like this before. Your video helped a lot! Just did the transmission fluids and filter today.Next up on it oil pan gasket, ball joints, shocks, fresh stereo and speakers, replace seat cover and cushion, spark plugs as well. Will be used to pull my 20 foot enclosed trailer for my snack business.

Ford has always had a better idea. Many tanks are done this way and not just FOMOCO.

Thanks for the video! My 1987 F150 Front tank is leaking and the rear doesn't work. I hope to get both working again. My poor cab is rusting out. My great uncle purchased it new to build a house and then parked it about 1994ish I think. My dad got it from him in 2005ish. It had 37k original miles. Now it has 104k but still runs great! Straight 6 with the 4 speed manual.

Use some light oil on the inside of the hose for lubrication.

They are very easy to work on that way...especially if they are half full of fuel. Something to consider. Thanks!
