I’ve got to replace a fuel pump on one of these tanks, the old one only has the two pipes (just like yours did) but the replacements that I see have the three pipes (like your new one) what’s that third pipe for and does it matter?

I wish I could get my pressure line off the pump as easy as you did. The big one. Spent 4 hours today trying to get it off. After watching the video again, I noticed you cut out the struggle bus portion of disconnecting the second fuel line. How long did that take and what did it take to finally get it off?

I had to bend one of the tabs in slightly to get it to fit. I also used two vice grips on each side of the ring, push down and then twist just to get it started and then used a punch and hammer to move it the rest of the way. It was a tight fit .. and yes the O-ring was seated 😃

Remove and throw away the front tank molded plastic shield, it will cause the new tank to rust out prematurely. The tank sits up high and not subject to mechanical injury.

It looks like you do not need the hose release tools. It looks like the metal clips keep the hoses connected securely.
