1992 Kenmore Direct Drive Washer Washing Towels--Full *SUPER WASH* Cycle

Like always, enjoy a full cycle of towels in my still-working-perfectly, 27 year old Kenmore 70 series direct drive washer!
Machine washes towels on 14 minute super wash cycle, high water level, and hot wash/warm rinse.
Detergent is ROMA brand powdered laundry detergent.
Fabric softener is Suavitel, "soothing lavender" scent.

29:46 Neutral Drain

I love these machines with these hefty motors! Maytag had the Centennial version of this washer which did a continuous super wash agitation from 2007-2010.

Suavitel is my favorite fabric softener brand. I have the dryer sheets. They smell really nice...As for the washer it brings back so many memories. It reminds me of my childhood

Suavitel is THE stuff. Mainly because it's made in Mexico, not here in the states like soda with HFCS we get here. Anything from a foreign land is going to be made better than the crap we get here, it's just fact.

i love the way the older washers agitation just pulls the dirt & grime,a system design that has and always will stand the test of time,i would only use a HE washer for a outside grill 😂🌭🍔🍗🥩

Please film some more videos of your 2000 Whirlpool Washer. Also I hope you can install the 2000 Whirlpool Washer in the basement and then you can do a wash day wash in just like JayKay18, Sharkie626, and Lexmarks567.

First of all, it's almost winter now, the machine is being stored away for the winter months, since there's no real place to put it. And I don't have a basement, I live in a small 1-level modular-built house.

I have a 80 series direct drive with a dual action agitator and it works amazing I think your unit performs slightly better though

Wait, wait, you mean a washer is supposed to last more than a year? 27 years, man it must have like ZERO miles on it! Still working great as usual I see. I'm a bit concerned about the loud agitation but that may have something to do with the agitator's "hollow" sound/sabric fostener dispenser, but otherwise working very well. Brake is a bit worn too, but after 27 years, that's not a huge surprise.

Still never even USED it before this video! It's always made that sound, the fostener spencer is what does it. When I take it off, it doesn't make that noise. The brake is about right for 27 years I'd say, but even so, still definitely better than the Whirlpool's brake.

I figured as much! The brake on this is definitely better than the Whirlpool, but both machine have a few years yet before you need to be concerned.

Don't get rid of it! You'll never find a machine made today that will wash half as good for half as long as your old one for as cheap. Speed Queen being the exception of course, but only for the commercial series machines now, and for an arm and a leg price.

This is definitely something interesting I did while visiting my friend Gsohoover at a wash in I was invited to. I serviced Gsohoover’s 1956 Whirlpool Imperial gas dryer, and this is way different than the newer Whirlpool 29” dryers, and it’s much different from the newer Whirlpool dryers, but I managed to service it without reading any threads on AW, and I even got a video of it in operation too. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aGeblmCBaZuejNU
