Yeah we probably had like 1 mm of clearance trying to get it over the core support. I didn't think it was going to go in.

We did not make a manual transmission selector we just ordered it :) it is an IRP Short throw shifter.

E300 om606. There was no E300D on 1995, the nomenclature changed to E300. The on606 was the diesel engine in all of the E300's.

We're still working away on the car all the engine components are plumbed and we can actually drive the car around under its own power. Right now we're working on wheel fitment and fender modifications. There will be a video showing all this later.

The transmission model number is GS6-37DZ. It's the BMW transmission that came in the diesel BMW's.

Engine mounts for the 95w124 are the same as the engine mounts for the 98/99 w 210. All you need to do is change the mounting arms on the engine and put the 95 w124 mounting arms onto the engine.

How much of a problem is it to convert a 1987 300d with auto trans to manual trans.

I've never done it but I don't think it would be too complicated.

@@w124mercedes7 yeah everything will fit the automatic and the manual are the same cars one just has pedals and a manual transmission and the other one doesn't. You just need to get all the manual parts and install them. All of the provisions are already there for everything to bolt up.

Oh no it's going to be way better you're going to see the car on national TV racing at famous racetracks all over the country. Just look up Optima batteries search for the ultimate street car. That's the series I compete in. If you go to Google and type in John Wood's firebird you will see pictures of the car I was racing for the last 4 years.
