When we last left David Honea, he was playing fine on show #3 until on show #4 due to a question error for $64K. He's back on the last August 1999 episode to walk away with $125,000.

Did Regis have a system for checking if he's allowed by the producers to answer questions like the president facing direction (which was a fair point of clarification to request I think)? I think he looks down at his monitor and they send him a message on that, right?

Interesting how Regis clearly despised being forced to ask for a guess when someone quits. The British producers were very insistent on keeping the show the same for good reason, American adaptations constantly fucked things up at the time (hence the hilariously ignored briefcase of cash prop, which the UK version also dropped before long), but I bet he argued about that element specifically a lot with them, he's angry about it by this point.
