The sound kind of reminds me of Killing Heidi. I've never heard of Stellar, but I enjoyed this track.

Great song and one I actually know . I think it must know it through a friend from New Zealand I worked and socialized with all those years ago Bruce ( believe it or not ) was a carpenter and bartender , 2 skills every New Zealander mastered and if you can do either you can travel around the world . After a year in NYC Bruce packed up and headed to London . Hello Bruce wherever you are Back to the music No surprise this was an award winner , the keyboard sounds were amazing NZ for its size has produced some world class acts my favorite being Split Enz ( over Crowded House ) I think Tom Bailey emigrates to NZ effectively putting an end to Thompson Twins but i might be wrong about that. Thanks again for another obscure pop classic

Hey Jesse, I think it is cool that you knew this one. It is a great tune...awesome vibe...amazing keyboards and guitar and Boh has a phenomenal voice. Do you know of her sister, Bic? I love her. I lived in NZ for a year and heard some of their artists...some really good stuff. I had no idea Tom moved to NZ. Thanks a bunch 🥰

@@playitagainsue Hey Sue and Jesse .. Her sister's name is actually Bic Runga .. Many New Zealanders often pronounce a soft "I" as a soft "E", so it may have sounded like "Bec" when some people spoke her name .. To my knowledge, it's always been pronounced as "Bic" here in Australia .. So if a New Zealander asks you for six of something, just be aware that they may not be asking for sex ! 😅😉

Good stuff ! .. Didn't know this band or song before, but it has a great sound and is very catchy .. As you say Sue, the chorus is a ripper .. I'd be surprised if such a successful NZ band ( 2 Number 1 albums and 7 Top 20 singles ) didn't get some decent airplay in Australia, as we often get radio exposure to NZ music here .. But if they did, I must have missed it .. Happy to hear more Stellar*

Hi Wayne, It is so catchy. Yes I would have thought there would have been crossover but it doesn't always happen. I do know that there are songs that make it big in Canada but not in the U.S. and vice versa and we often have similar hits. This was good stuff though and would definitely listen to more of their stuff 🤩💜
