Yeah, fuck me for going to icyveins and seeing this was the top solo tier build and assuming it wasnt a fucking glass cannon. I got a full well rolled gear setup before even swapping out my inarius to try it and this feels like such trash. I can only clear GR 75 in my inarius set but its not even that well rolled lol and I dont feel like im about to get 1 shotted at any second...

tried it. got carpal tunnel from clicking every damn mob manually. wtf happened to auto casting in diablo. is it just broken for necro? manual target, manual clicking, only aoe from area damage and massive delay in corpse spawning makes this build slow and annoying. it's like the inverse of a haunt build. such a bait and switch class

Btw the build reminds me a bit about playing Lightning Archon wizard which is all about max CDR to pop in to Archon to actually do any damage at the high GRs, but there at least you can kill some trash as well or round up more than one elite pack due to the forward aoe damage of the beam. But the damage certainly is nowhere near this Necro build.

This may be the most dangerous HC build in the game. There will be MANY occasions where you do not have a corpse available and mobs are everywhere. LoD is on cooldown. So, you are surrounded by dangerous mobs praying for a corpse or LoD. This build would be fine for groups where others create the corpse for you...or maybe SC where you like having god like power for a few seconds but ZERO dps for the rest of the time.

Don't be fooled by the wording of the spreading malediction passive. It only goes up to a bonus of 20%, so you won't get more if you have 50 enemies cursed.

I just don't get this build. I have the same items (not all of them ancient or primal) and same skills. But when I get to grift 70 or so, I can't survive. Something always manages to clip me while I'm blood rushing and cursing across the map and it instantly kills me.

What happens when you need to break through a door... are you supposed to use a two minute cool down to accomplish that? This is the only thing I've found to be the big deal breaker. If you get a maze rift, with many doors, you're not going to do well. This build appears to do well only in open GR atmospheres. I'm an avid DH player, but purchased the Necro pack to see if I could be lured away for a change of pace. Found the Inarius build to decent and fun to play until the Bliz Nerf Hammer laid the smack down. Well, Blizz made their $$$, which seems to be all they really care about regarding D3. It's basically on maintenance mode, indefinitely. Back to DH. Lol.

Aren't most GR100 builds about just skipping to the elites and killing them off only? Seeing that even with the cooldown on Land of the Dead (as well as Simulacrum) you are basically just just trying to stay alive until you can be a glass cannon to actually do any damage at this high GRs. It is interesting that the pet builds also benefit so greatly from Land of the Dead but don't necessarily try to push the cooldown to be low but instead assumes you just spend more time killing of trash inbetween. The problem ofc being staying alive then and generally keep some distance to mobs instead of running about them using all sorts of quirks to buff toughness and heal. Personally I like the pet builds better.

Your speed farm variation doesn't work because you can't get any heal while casting corpse lance. Also you can't kill trash because you can't heal either so there is no point in having gold wraps since you dont get gold from not killing trash.

what about Ancient Parthan Defenders for this build? Wouldn't that be better than Nemesis? Can always carry Nem in your inventory to swap before shrines.

its not that its boring its the same as the hammerdin, strong but weak as fuck if you get overwhelmed. inarus set is more of an up in your face build some people like running around kiting things then killing them...some like to be up in the face. trag is a kite build so its user preference...i like to be up in mobs faces so inarus is my favorite. great video though i will have to try it out again eventually.

One Question: How is Maximum Essence (Overwhelming Essence) any good in this build? You only need essence for the curse but that is not much and you can replensih it just with "Devour". So why not put anonter passiv skill into build instead of "Overwhelming Essence"?

Yeah love this build, just did gr100 and with farming set I have mine altered a bit from svr_90's version but do t13 3-4mins. No idea why ppl hate the build. Most likely the unknown of not knowing how to play it. Reminds me of sort of archon wizard in high gr's pushing 101-102 soon.

Nah, I get it, but I like the build personally. I agree also in some terms but also they need to work on the other sets as well. np man. I'm going to start out necro which might be shooting myself in the foot since I usually go barb then zbarb. But so many seasons of the same I just want anything for change. Also a paragon 900ish did 101 and 1k 104. I don't know how many keys they used but good god they had to fish.

it's not a program, it's just the so called "numlock trick" -> assign a skill on your skillbar to a key on your numpad, let's say "1", press 1 while num lock is active, keep it pressed and release num lock -> num lock trick done and the game will spam the skill

I really like the Nekro but I hate its play style. Only doing damage for 10seconds every 2minutes is not my idea of fun. Since they nerfed the Mirinae Teardrop bone storm build the nekro got put on my back burner so far that its dead last on my character selection screen, even my mule/bank toons come first.

You can just hold down the key/button. If there are corpses (which gets nullified with Land of the Dead) you can keep casting it. It will focus on the enemy nearest the curser of your mouse :)

This will not work on the console because you cannot individually target or hover mouse over enemies for your corpse Lance which will only target the closest enemy. So knowing luck your corpse Lance will hit every unimportant minion for the short 10 second duration and do Jack shit to the beefy boss I know I have tried. That the ability to target your corpse Lance you will not passed nearly enough damage in greater rifts over 10 seconds to kill even half of the normal and means on the screen before you even get to the champion or elite

I agree, I played Rathma first with the Mage build, then (after the Inarius Nerf) played Bonestorm (fun even after the nerf) then picked up the Trag'oul set and oh my dear God talking about falling a sleep... it seemed WOW all over again. Played it 30 minutes with all the items and the full set, some pieces even Ancient, and man I can tell you boring as hell. NOTE to the Trolls, I have been playing D3 since release, left for a while and came back, so don't call me noob.

Might be good but it sucks. Did you guys noticed how the devour skill is kind of macroed? Its spamming non stop even when there are no mobs around. Third party software? Its really sad when the coolest necromancer skills arent good enough to top this corpse lance rubish.

it is the numlock technique, basically you associate a skill to a numpad number, and lock it during game play so it autotriggers throughout the game. Google it , it is very effective i used it with the rathma build for devour/cannibalize and it works like a charm.

This is what I hate about the Necro; ALL Of His BUILDS have a damage window of 10seconds and you cant do any fucking damage for another 2minutes. They really fucked up the Necro! He hasn't been good since they nerfed Mirinae Teardrop that worked with his Bone Storm build. I keep trying to play the necro and I cant get past GR65-70 with him its fucking pathetic i can run 70s on a UE DH in under 8minutes.

Pretty much the only viable build for necro since they killed off bonestorm entirely about an hour ago. The most boring gameplay in D3. They totally killed off the necro. Blizzard just scammed a huge number of people that went necro for the flexibility and fun of the other builds. Now they forced it to be a one trick pony like most other classes and they made that trick extremely dull.

I've found a number of very hard-hitting builds that make quick work of level 60 greater rifts, but are also fun to play. This is just typical gamer elitism. It isn't elite if anyone can do it, so they make it difficult to play, and not fun, thus further deterring people from playing it. This build is actually not the best, but if they can convince you it is, they can also convince you that you're bad. As far as I'm concerned, this annoying build can be safely ignored.
