2 Cars Race Train To RR Crossing & Go Around The Crossing Gates, Steel Coils Train With DPU In Ohio

Cars Ignore Railroad Crossing Gates With CSX Train Coming. One Car Dashes Through & The Other Car Goes Around The Railroad Crossing Gates. Steel Coils Train With DPU Goes Over Bridge & Passes Baltimore And Ohio Railroad Signals That Are Still In Use. BNSF Locomotives Lead Mixed Freight Over Bridge Past Railroad Maintenance Of Way Equipment. Union Pacific & Norfolk Southern Railroad Locomotives Lead A Mixed Freight Train With Union Pacific Railroad DPU Locomotive In Kentucky.
These trains are in Elmwood Place, Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, all in close proximity and on the same day. What did you think about the cars ignoring the railroad crossing signals at a four track railroad crossing in Elmwood Place? They did not appear to be railfans. Also, we get to see the old B&O signals that are still in use. I also got a close up view of the signals. I am trying to film them as much as I can before they are replaced. A good source who sometimes gets accurate information told me that the new Safetrans signals are already at Queensgate Yard and ready to replace the historic B&O signals. There aren't many of these left. I know the CSX Toledo Sub still has some and I am also trying to film those as much as I can before they are gone.

That was a very nice, long mixed freight at Crescent Springs JT! I counted 158 cars plus a DPU. It was awesome! It had one car of big plate steel and some brand new, shiny covered hoppers that looked very sharp! This train was a super catch, my friend. 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤

Off topic but does anyone know what the hospital told shoestring before he asked and was discharged the day he later disappeared and apparently drowned? (by suicide). I'm thinking he must have been terribly despondent, discouraged and depressed and decided his life was no longer worth living. RIP Shoestring.

I appreciate the content, as a former rail rider, I wanted to reach out to you and thank you for the updates and the RESPECTABLE tribute to hobo shoestring. I don't know if I ever met him but I feel as though I did through his you tube channel. I lo e that guy and dearly miss him. I was getting ready to try and get ahold of him and hop back on the rails to hopefully meet him. Unfortunately and sadly I can't now. Since learning of his passing, all my desires to hit the tracks again vanished but, I sit here watching his videoes still and this morning have been thinking maybe I should go back on the rails in his honor to continue his mission. That first video lead part was like going to the bread section of the supermarket as all the various coil cars were like types of bread. Good to see the coil train back up to full size around 40 cars. Then slide that one Freight down the hill looking at the cars that will probably pass through Milwaukee in the next several days on their way to get more grain and flour. Apparently Lokie is going to put an application in to work on the tie gang as the digging skills certainly are prevalent

I always love a steel train whether it's coils, slabs, beams or large pipe. This load probably weighs 7-8 million pounds! The locomotives are likely close to another 1 million pounds, so it's definitely a heavy train! 😮 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤

The train at Elmwood Place was long and had a nice variety of freight cars on it. The two cars that shot across the tracks before the train came did not hesitate to go under the lower gates or run around the gates. Neither of them had any idea as to where the lead engine was located. I just looked at Google Maps for Winton Place. There was a little description of the area. The description indicated that Winton Place is one of 52 neighborhoods of Cincinnati, Ohio. Cincinnati annexed the area in 1903 and the neighborhood kept the name Winton Place name until 2007 when the area's name was changed to Spring Grove. That explains why the railroads still call the location Winton Place. Those were two nice trains that you saw at Winton Place. I hope that those old Baltimore & Onio signals go to a railroad museum where they can be displayed rather than to the scrap yard. You really like railfanning in Cresent Springs, Kentucky! The Norfolk Southern train coming down The Hill at Beechwood Road needed that mid-train DPU to help it down The Hill.

I was born n raised in Elmwood Place n have seen cars go flying through the air jumping the tracks there next too the old Lanier Cone Company They used too make ice cream cones when I was a kid , it’s the building across from the newly painted grey one. 375 is the NS designation, CSX is giving Z symbols to trackage rights trains, so Z511/Z512 are the symbols for 375/376 while on CSX tracks.

Z511(if it existed) is a CSX train symbol for foreign line train operating on CSX. I could not find a Z511 on CSX. That was clearly NS 375. The second train with the BNSF engine may have been assigned Z511.
