Thank you for the awesome tutorial. I've watched a number tonight trying to learn it and yours has been the most clear and helpful starting right from cast-on, set-up, and the overall stitch pattern. You also explain everything so carefully and clearly making it feel so much easier. My one suggestion would be to consider putting time stamp links in the description so it's easy to jump to a particular area in the video. If someone (like myself) wants to jump back to the light side of row one it would be much easier than clicking through the video until I find the right spot. (I think I'm mostly just lazy). Thank you again for the great video!!

I’m so lost... it says to s1yo, so why do we yo before we slip? 😭 this is one of many videos I understand but still don’t understand?

The order of the YO doesn't matter, as long as you do a YO either before or after you slip so that the YO crosses over it (and pairs with it), then you are good. I find YO first makes it a smoother motion, and easier to do.

I thought the same thing...why is she saying slip 1 yarnover when it's yarn over slip one...it does matter where that yarn over goes

Saying. C1-1 / C22 it is much less confusing. Not everyone is using or following the script of light dark that you are. So using the terminology C1 - C2 would suit all peoples understanding easier. You need to realize that if one is attempting or perfecting their Brioche they have C1 and C2 down and are at minimum an intermediate level knitter. .But why confuse people with your decision of the usage of light / dark in the same way you have..... CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM IS THE BEST COMPLIMENT YOU CAN RECEIVE, IT SHOULD HOPEFULLY BE HONORED NOT REJECTED.

The mic noise is annoying but the written pattern was helpful. You shouldn't say yarn over when describing a knit stitch in a pattern that has a yarn over. It's confusing. Just say knit or brioche knit

Can't do anything about the mic noise, it's all I could do with the equipment I had. And this video is for beginners who don't know what a brioche knit stitch is, so I use the explanation of a YO to help them visualize it. And for many that's helpful, but it's not going to be helpful for everyone because everyone learns differently.

Hmm. I missed it if she ever said to yarn over w/in a knit stitch at all. She said to YO and slip as it if to knit/purl, depending on the side; but anytime she said to YO, she wasn't referring to the YO within the stitch itself, I don't think. If it was in the "as if to knit" parts, it's kind of crucial to say. I guess you could say to slip through the front or the back, but it's usually referred to as "as if to knit/purl" instead. But you have to know which way to slip in order to have the stitch sitting the right way on your needle. Is that what you mean?

It is very distracting to hear music as loud or slightly louder than your voice. The music is totally unnecessary. I came to this channel to learn Brioche, not to fight with trying to hear your voice over the music. Ridiculous.
