Nice vid, I am currently still training my dog to come when called. He will come when called inside the house, but not outside as often
@jimbarbwe19854 жыл бұрын
Inside it can be boring for your dog so you are the main interest, outside there can be distractions, it's good to introduce your dog to as many distractions as early as possible so they can become the norm. Make sure your dog is getting enough enrichment and simulation like walking, playing fetch, swimming, scent detection or playing. Slow, safe and steady helps with recall, depending on if your dog has a good working drive, toy drive, food drive or willingness to please drive but use whatever drive they have as a reward just like in this video, on or off lead each time the dog looks at you praise them with their drive of choice. The dog will soon learn that its much more rewarding to stay around you. When you think you are progressing start introducing distractions, this is where a friend can be helpful even better if they have a dog and better still if their dog is older or calm to start. You can also reduce the amount of food given to your dog at feeding times to create a stronger food drive, but you supplemented the amount you have reduced back into the dogs daily food intake as a reward when training. Homemade liver treats work well, easy to make check google and I have yet to find a dog that doesn't like them. Hope this helps.

@@JelloVibez pretty agressive, i got him at 3 months, and he attacked my nabor first week i had him lol. ive calmed down his agression a little so he dosent do something stupid, and end up euthanized. hes still very territorial against strangers coming in my yard, as it should be. its a happy and all around great dog when he gets to know you, and gets along with other dogs.

The doberman is about to be 5months old and is getting more aggressive. She has 1 more month to be a puppy then the real training starts where I will start correcting her on a prong collar for bad behaviors. So I understand what you are dealing with. Your not alone. Stay consistent. Not everyone can take care of a presa. Takes balls and a lot of love. I salute you 💪

Thanks for sharing your training way, I really really enjoy your videos and I love your channel. If you will allow me to ask you, I recently rescued a dog from the street, she is about 10 years old. Do you have some tip to train her without stressing her?, since apparently she had a past of abuse. Greetings from Chile and excuse my english.

Love the videos and the dogs! They're lucky to have you man. I have a 3/4 year old rescue. He's a sharpei cross but unsure what with. He's good around the home but not very obedient around other people or when there are distractions. He goes crazy at other dogs out on walks and I find it nearly impossible to get his attention. I'd like to train him but have no previous experience and I'm unsure where to start! Any tips would be greatly appreciated

Hi again. I was hoping to get your opinion on early socialisation time. Do you believe 8-16 week period is as essential as many corso owners/trainers claim? If I go ahead I wouldn’t get my dog through the breeder I want to until at least 16 weeks. Is that situation recoverable for a novice corso owner but life long dog owner of other breeds including Staffordshire bulls? Thanks for taking the time to answer and your excellent videos.
@JelloVibez4 жыл бұрын
I picked up my corso at 15 weeks. It's nice if you can socialize at 12 weeks but it won't hurt your dog if you start at 16 weeks. I think if your consistent with socializing up untill 15months your dog will be neutral to most sights, sounds, and situations.

Can I ask why in the USA you cut the dogs ears? I understand it can make the ears stand upright is this just for the aesthetics? and making them smaller but thought that was to reduce the grabbing-damage in dog fighting? Not wanting to create an argument just wanted to understand. I have a Belgium Malinois so the ears are always up 😃

I know you weren't working on this, but how did you get Uso's speed up for his downs and sits? My Corso is pretty slow with it most of time.
@JelloVibez4 жыл бұрын
Toy drive is the key. Hype them up 1st by playing. Then take the ball away and have him do sit and down. You'll see the difference.
