Hello, I am teaching my Can Corso ( T'Challa ) to sit and stay. I say BREAK and he mostly comes out of it. But sometimes I promise you he will sit....and stay...and stay even after I say break. One time I had to use the bathroom and I about lost it because he was staring at me in the stay and wouldn't move. It was like his behind was glued to the sidewalk...I like the way you mix up the movements and allow puppy to wonder (which I thought was against training rules). You're showing that you don't have to dominate while training. You said GIVE & TAKE in another video. Thank you for sharing your successes, ups and downs with your puppies and dogs.

Hey man. Great videos. The first video I saw was the one with your dogs subtitles over the food. I loved how you spoke to him and it changed how I spoke and trained with my dogs immediately. I have a beautiful female Cane Corso and we just whelp 11 pit Corso puppies. 18 days old today. Your videos have definitely made me a better dog lover and teacher.

Thank you for showing how to do a short training. That was awesome to look away and get her used to the command. I get my Cane Corso soon, he's 4 weeks old and I the novelty of having one is wearing off. I now see that there's a lot of work to do and as cute and chunky and yummy that he is, I have to start right to end right.

I’m going back and saving the anack training vids. I just got a female 4month old that is at Erwin’s in Houston with hank but I intend on using your 10 minutes a day with each dog. I started with hank on stay with the ball cuz he’s like uso and is motivated by it. He did well and hope my girl will do the same once she’s home. She will be in Houston probably 6 weeks

That's an interesting concept the automatic STAY on a command. Question- doesn't it confuse dog when you command him to sit while he's already sitting? It looked like puppy stood up and sad down again and wasn't sure for a second. Would love a video about how you teach a puppy to stay alone. Ignoring his whining, making him tired, gradually increasing the time alone, comfort objects, crate or without it or any other methods you use? Thanks.
@thakoharris4 жыл бұрын
Embarking on this training method. Good info! Appreciate it. Between potty and crate training and using food to get her to like the crate our day of learning feels pretty full. Especially with all the leash walking we’re doing. She also doesn’t seem too highly food motivated yet. I feel like I’m building a good relationship, but I also feel like I’m making mistakes. Going to the dog for giving treats / food is the biggest I’m correcting now.

If your dog isn't responding to food, you can use ONE favorite toy as a reward also. But must be SAME TOY each time. A friend who was 24th SPS at Howard AFB, Panama 🇵🇦 Canal Zone taught me that. I loved it!! Being around dogs that were bite trained was awesome most of the time. Others,......not so much. As a teenager "catching " a working dog is AMAZING but terrifying! I was 15. 5'2" and 95lbs! The sleeve was a bad fit lol. I got bit so many times! Stupid kid. Had to keep it quiet as it was against the military code. I was a LAW ENFORCEMENT EXPLORER! Part of the Boy Scouts!!!

Better to train separate just untill you get them to reach a level that allows you to handle them.both. its def a challenge but you got this Al.

Hello! this might be an odd question, so I will give you some context, in my country there are a lot of "people" that poison dogs, specially big ones, they either give them a posion or put broken glass in the food. this is absolutly despicable, but becasue we are a third world country there are little to no cameras on the street so people get away with it most of the time. as you might guess this is worriesome specially if you like big breeds, So I would like to know. Would it be posible to teach your dog to only take food from you? your dogs are gorgeous and you can tell you know what you are doing. love the vids.

Do you switch up the times of the day that you train? Do you always use their meal time to train? I noticed that you do short commands. I am watching this and T'Challa keeps hearing you say sit so he comes over and watches as well. I will do better with not getting frustrated. I won't fuss today......( prayerfully:).

@dogenthusiast74454 жыл бұрын
Hey so sit and wait is the “stay” technically because u don’t wanna say two commands like sit then saying stay... or it can be vice versa saying stay your pup will most likely sit and release word is “break”
