a little tip on making your cocoa powder taste more chocolatey in baked goods, bloom it first. all you need to do is boil a few ounces of water, coffee, butter, whatever you like, and mix it into the cocoa powder before you mix that into the rest of the recipe. the heat makes the flavors come out more and bind with the other ingredients so itll be more rich than if you just waited for the heat from the oven to warm it up.

one recipe did add yogurt but what does that do to the batter?
@emberjaxx585 Жыл бұрын
@@FernandoHernandez-nj1kv it’s the fat in the batter that allows it to hold together. It’s essentially replacing the butter, and oil of the batter. The bananas are the starch(flour), and sugar. Now that I think of it, since the brownie is so wet you may be able to add like a coconut flour which is super dry which will firm it up a bit, and provide more texture. And coconut flour is low in carbohydrates and high in fiber (cancels out carbohydrates because fiber indigestible).

I just made these and wow wow wow!!! They are so good. My main thing when it comes to food, besides flavor of course, is I like food that is moist. That's why I like pie more than cakes, cakes are just too dry for me. Well these brownies are so friggin moist! Amazing flavor and you could personalize the recipe-maybe some vanilla extract, maybe some walnuts, etc. I wonder how it would be if you were to add some plain or vanilla casein protein powder, casein because it's not as dry for baked good. Think I'll try that next time. At my local store I bought the batch of overripe bananas for $1.40 and the 40g of cocoa is like $0.50 maybe. So it's very inexpensive dessert and much healthier, plus lots of fiber. If adding the protein works out than it's the perfect healthy dessert! Oh and I also added a tablespoon or two of Monk Sweet. It is a low calorie sweetener, it says 0 calories in 1 tsp but it also says 4g of carbs as sugar alcohols so not sure how it doesn't have calories. Monk sweet is by far the best sweetener I've tried that doesn't leave an odd aftertaste. It's a mix of erythritol, stevia and monk fruit extract.
@RahulKamat2 жыл бұрын
Lets goooo!! Glad you enjoyed! These are fr supperrrrrrr moist. If the casein doesn’t work, maybe top these off with a greek yogurt frosting? Or a powdered peanut/protein powder + greek yogurt frosting? That’d add a bunch of protein to these

Yeah these came out awful mine was just goopy and wouldn’t bake and turn solid lmao

Thank you for saving me the trouble! I had a similar experience when I made the two ingredient lentil flatbread… Just lentils in water… Came out like bean flavored pancakes LMAO

You could jazz it up with crushed nuts or cherries, how about protein powder? I’ll try your recipe - thx for sharing. Like your sassy personality.

One a day. Do you keep them in the fridge or do they get all weird? Can you freeze them? Or just keep them on the counter in an airtight container? Thanks!
@RahulKamat2 жыл бұрын
I keep them in the fridge, that’s prob the best way to store them. Haven’t tried freezing but I think they’d hold up

I wonder if a half cup of apple sauce would be an interesting addition to this. Anyway, I’m looking forward to making your recipe. It looks great, and I’m very impressed by your creativity. PS: it should jiggle, not fold.

I haven’t tried applesauce so not sure. And thank you! Keep me posted if you try this!

as a vegan (i cant handle dairy dont ostracize me) and someone who's been watching you for a bit, yet another genius one. plus, i eat a lot of bananas, and i love brownies. seriously, keep doing your thing.

also, i often do a mashed banana + a scoop protein + cocoa and espresso powder, almond milk, sometimes pb powder as a preworkout snack. if you get the ratio right its like a thick banana nutella spread.

I’m so happy you can enjoy these! And woah that sounds like a delicious choc covered banana flavored spread

What a great recipe! Thank you. You can add egg whites to the recipe for extra protein and for binding.😊
