Serves 4 with a net carb of 3.95 grams per serving
Made with Carbalose flour
This is a 2 ingredient pasta that looks, cooks, tastes, and stores like real pasta. You can cook it fresh or air dry it for long term storage. It's easy to make and tastes so close to the real thing you would be hard-pressed to tell the difference. Whether you are doing dirty keto or low carb and have a craving for pasta, give this easy recipe a try.
Keto/Low Carb Pasta
80 grams of Carbalose flour (plus extra for dusting pasta and board)
1 large egg
Combine flour and egg to make a dough (add water if needed - few drops at a time)
Let set for 20 to 30 minutes wrapped in plastic so it doesn't dry out.
cut into 4 equal amounts and roll out to desired thickness. Cut into desired shapes.
Cook fresh in salted boiling water for about 1-2 minutes or dry uncooked pasta overnight and store in air tight container until ready to use. To cook, drop into salted boiling water for about 10 to 12 minutes.
Use with just like regular pasta

This pasta is so easy to dry. Just spread it out and air dry overnight (I put a tea towel over it) or put it in your dehydrator for about 4 hours on medium low. The first batch I dried lasted 1 month (before I cooked it) It will last much longer I am sure.

I just made these and they’re amazing! Cooked them right up as soon as I made them and they did not fall apart!! Tossed them in butter and fresh grated Parmesan with a dash of salt and pepper!!!!!! Love! Thank you! Can’t wait to make ravioli and lasagna next!

Carbquik has even less carbs. 2 net carb per 1/3 cup. I made pancakes with it and they were great! Thank you for sharing this noodle recipe! I must try!

I am still losing, I use this flour for occasional recipes like pasta or chicken and dumplings. I haven't noticed it stalling me. That being said I haven't been keeping up with how much I've lost or gained since this has started.

I love this 2 ingredient recipe. This is the first recipe for Carbalose I have found that is simple. I have been on Pinterest and googling and every recipe has all this extra stuff to add (oat fiber, guar gum,wheat gluten, coconut flour, xanthan gum on and on....I bought this Carbalose flour and I want to do stuff with it that doesn't require buying more ingredients I don't have in my pantry. So thank you for this video!!!! I would like to make some kind of easy cookie recipe with this flour. Do you have any recipes?

I miss potato chips and cheesy puffs. I used to miss bread, but thanks to Diedre's kitchen & I DONT SUGAR COAT bread recipe....I am good. I used to miss french fries, but thanks to Heavenly Fan's recipe.....I am good. And Quest chips and pork rinds do not satisfy my chip & cheetos ....so until then my taste buds will go on pining. Maybe this recipe will solve my pasta periodical cravings.

Had to comment. I too miss potato chips and flaming hot cheese puffs. Add pretzels and cheezy potatoes to that list. I've never had a sweet tooth just a salty one. I could drink a bag of kettle cooked chips about now. LOL!

Used to make pretty good nachos ( seasoned ground beef, onions, bell pepper, mont. jack, nacho chips). Have not found a substitute for the

.....decent substitute for the chips. Tried low carb crackers, cheese crisps, ect. Good ideas would be a consideration for all of us who miss the nacho style chip

@@kevin6927 We have Kroger stores here in Indiana that sell Quest brand chips that are low carb. Something like a Dorito and make a decent substitute. I would check at your local grocery store and see if they have them. Amazon sells them, but much cheaper at the grocery .

I am not really sure. I haven't tried it because it has leavening agents in it which make it rise. I know when I use the Carbquik in for my dumplings it makes them fluffy. Try it, if nothing else you may end up with an egg dumpling instead of pasta.

I am not sure if it will work or not because it doesn't have gluten in it (at least the King Authors version I looked up) however, try it and see. My worry with this is not that it wouldn't dry and store (it should store perfectly well) but that the pasta would hold up to cooking in liquid without the gluten. If it doesn't work try adding Vital Wheat Gluten to your recipe and that will give it strength to hold up to boiling.

@@DirtyLazyKetoWithYulanda As I'm writing this I'm glad I returned it ,I found another one you can dry that looks goos,not as good as your tho,' cook with Mel ' I can't Rember what the recipe called for but Rember Lupin,and the other I've seen in the store,So I will give it a try! But love yours so much better! I want to be able for it to have shelf life ,hers said to keep in refregator, But 👍❤👍 Super love your cooking,watched your channel for hours the other night,THANKYOU SO very much!❤

Been on keto for years and I have gotten great substitutes. I have done Atkins since the 90’s. I have too now especially. My thyroid is gone and I have fibromyalgia, PMR, systemic lupus. Atkins is great for inflammation. So I missed gnocchi. Being Italian it is all about the pasta. I found a great recipe gift gnocchi and tweaked it. Being Italian we say it’s the sauce that matters. You got good sauce you can make poo taste good. I do thing real ricotta gnocchi is the best but my substitute is great too. To be honest. I can’t really say I miss something. Cereal possibly but when I eat regular meals I have extreme anxiety and don’t feel good. So if I had to say I miss something I miss a glass of chocolate milk or milk. I would use lactaid milk cause I’m lactose intolerant. Yup, I’m a medical nightmare lol

Hi Yulanda, I ‘ m in USA and use cups as far as the recipe for pasta goes my question is ...how many cups in 80 grams ? I I have looked online however some places say one cup some places say 3/4 of a cup since you made the recipe thank goodness ... Please tell me which one it is , I’m thinking 3/4 of a cup.. Hello, I'm in America also, I just happened to use grams to weigh the flour when I was testing out all the other recipes I had and just never measured it out after the first time. The good thing about this recipe is that it is flexible. Start with 3/4 cup and if you find that it is sticky after you add the egg, add more flour. It can easily take the full cup with out messing up the recipe. If you find that the dough is to dry, add water a few drops at a time. You just don't want a sticky or tough dough. Let me know if you try it and how you like it.

30 grams is in 1 oz. 8 ounces in 1 cup. 30 X 8 = 240. 240/80= 3 so 80 grams is 1/3 cup. Also if you just google " grams to cups" a simple plug in calculator will pop up. Just type in the number it will calculate it for you.

Also what I'm missing on keto is cheesy potatoes. Cauliflower and cheese is okay, but doesn't cut it. LOL They need to make a low carb potato! 😋

Zoodles suck. I have had good sauce on them but they don’t cut it. No way lol if I am crazing someone badly then once out of the month if I want I can’t have a cheat day. Dish side is you have to wait three days to be back into ketosis again. If it helps keep your on track with keto I say do it. I cheat thanksgiving and Christmas because we do a huge Italian dinner with lots of different pastas.

I eat kinda dirty keto and here's my pizza fix: Buy Mission brand low carb tortillas, brown them in a little oil, add pizza toppings then broil for 3 minutes or so. Love them! The tortillas are only 4 net carbs. By browning them you get a crisp crust.
