We are on a road trip to California and making stops in places we’ve never been before! Two spots in New Mexico that have been on our list are Carlsbad Caverns and White Sands National Parks. They are in a few hours from each other so we are going to try to visit both in one day.
The caverns are absolutely amazing! You can take an elevator down to the big room or you can hike down. We chose to hike the winding, and sometimes very steep, trail down 725 feet to the bottom. It’s beautiful! The fact that these caves go so deep and we formed so long ago… and once you get to the big room! It is a sight like nothing else.
We drove north through the mountains in New Mexico on our way to White Sands… this drive was beautiful!! A little scary at times as it started snowing on us twice, but so pretty! The drive was longer than we expected and we made it to White Sands about 4pm… so not a lot of time to spend here. But we caught a beautiful and unique sunset!

I had no idea you guys have a You Tube channel. We subscribed to you channel and look forward for more posts. And, welcome to California!

I loved this video of yal touring around my stomping grounds!! I live in small town Eunice, NM and went to Carlsbad Caverns several times thru the years for a school trip. Visited to Billy the Kid museum along with Smokey the Bear museum. It's all so beautiful up in that area. Seen places in this travel vlog that I've never seen before even living not far from there. So enjoyed it!

Hey! My wife and I are NM natives, originally from Carlsbad. I lived in NM until I was 26. We both lived in Las Cruces while attending college at NMSU. I hope y’all enjoyed your time in the state! I like Andele’s more than La Posta, because La Posta can taste bland. La Posta is a very pretty restaurant though.

Love your videos, you are my favorite vlogers! Mexican food which you will usually find in Ca, Chicago is 1000% better than Tex Mex food. Where you ate they should have covered your enchilada with their Christmas chili- which is red and green chili (the small hot capsicum) peppers, not chili con carne. New Mexico is known for their fantastic chili sauces, lots of spice.

I ate at LaPosta based on some friends’ recommendations but only found it to be okay. I had the fried tacos. My fave is LaFiesta Mexicana. We ate there in Page, AZ, and again in Moab, Utah. They have a couple more locations too. But everyone’s taste is different. So, fortunately, there are plenty of Mexican restaurants to choose from. 😊👍🏻

When the frozen pellets are hard, it's sleet. When they are a combination of sleet and snow they are softer and here in the midwest we refer to that as sneet.

It's The "Hatch Chile" flavor, that makes it. New Mexico, is home of the Hatch traditional Chile, grown originally there. It's a hybrid Chile cross pollinated by a farmer in this 47th State of the Union, the state was added in 1912. FYI: it's not Mexican food. IT'S NEW MEXICAN food. Mexican food is different. Also: Chile, is raw pepper. Chili, is a cooked dish!
