I bought this product last year and just got around to using it today ( just before cold weather descends on the region). It wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be and I got excellent results. Wished I would have watched this video first so I would have avoided runs. But still the result was clear lenses!

I just used that Moderate kit on a probably worse than moderate hazing on a Honda. That spray is the Magic it goes from fogged to crystal clear the moment you spay it on. All haze is gone. EZ too. If its really bad the server kit has sandpaper in it 400 1000 2000 grit. The kit I used had 2 sponges + bottle of Polish + Spray I probably could have used 800 grit then the polish but the results were WOW with just the polish.

So I did this restoration on my 2005 CGT but they came out hazy. Question I have is, after I've applied the top coat, how do I remove it to give it another clean? Should I simply redo the process and the cleaning solution will remove the top coat?
@Always_Never Жыл бұрын
I'd probably wet sand them to remove what you placed on prior. However I would assume you could try to redo the same procedure first...and I'd that doesn't work, just wet sand it.
@shaazy Жыл бұрын
@@Always_Never I did this thrice and it would still come out hazy. Some random comment advised to try Mothers Mag n Aluminium polish. Tried that and it worked wonders! Cleared the lens up to near crystal! Could use another pass but I'm amazed at the result already!
@Always_Never Жыл бұрын
@@shaazy always heard good things about their aluminum mag cleaner. Least that worked, and I think you can use that stuff to polish up your exhaust tips too
@shaazy Жыл бұрын
@@Always_Never Absolutely. If it can work so good on the plastic lenses, it opens up to a broad range of uses. I didn't even use the scrubbing pads in the Meguiars kit, just some microfiber and Mag polish! I'm sure with an orbital or something, they'd come out like new. Definitely recommend trying, cause where I am, the Meguiars kit is hard to come by, the Mag polish is easier to find and actually cheaper.
@Always_Never Жыл бұрын
@@shaazy definitely beats wet sanding, which is a pain...curious to see, if it would take etching off of headlights, as I sprayed some clear coat on my girls Acura headlights, and it ended up etching some portions of the lens...went over it with Megiuars restoration kit, helped a lot...but didn't take the etching off that the clear coat left.

But there is a wool pad that is super fine 0000 that will clean up a window in no time and the results look like a new piece of glass! I’ve owned a detail business for 14yrs and have found that not only do those wool pads clean everything off but that using water only for cleaning windows so we would have a wet microfiber towel and a dry microfiber towel making sure your not an any direct sun light of course lol but we’ve tried everything and this is the only method we’ve found that you won’t have streaks and you can go horizontal on the interior side of the glass and vertical on the exterior and this way is so if you do have any streaks pop out you can know on what side it’s coming from.. Good luck
