Just watching all these cars go by some may ask who owns them. Our local NRHS Chapter just had their banquet and the speaker was from the industry and broke it down as follows Class 1 & Shortline. RR owned 15% Leasing Firms\car builders. 52% Privately owned by shipper. 22% TTX Pool all types. 11% Biggest increase in cars include Intermodal and auto carriers as well as some specialized cars. Biggest drops Far and Away are the 50 ft regular box car end call hoppers. So next time you watch the Train Roll by The Tide is also turning with less Railroad owned cars and more private cars. One thing your channel has none others is many small quaint townships, country steering, almost like time capsules. I’d love to spend time in your area in a late Spring or summer time to just drive around,look at places, and enjoy rural areas, farming land with these charming farming community towns. Would like o see you do a “Special Edition” making showcase buildings and houses near trains, like at very Near tracks and intersections etc.
@JawTooth2 ай бұрын
That would be cool! Do you mean a compilation video of buildings next to the tracks?
@yafois9882 ай бұрын
@@JawTooth Yes, places that are near tracks in general, or road crossings which are close to tracks. Mainly Residents more than any business buildings. What life is like, experiences good/bad ppl have had with this chronic rail activity. How it affects buildings, issues concerns etc. All these things most ppl don’t realize or experience. General info, stories, interesting things about this one phenomena. Having 40 Tonne machines at 50MPH whiz by all hours of the day ppl might have interesting things they did to deal with it for various reasons. Maybe old pictures etc.
