Great piece again. The UES Ramanyana T's are awesome. Have a indigo and black pocket T's. I always seem to trash white t shirts so didn't want to splash out on one in white but thanks to this video have gone for the 3sixteen twin pack in white. Look forward to getting them. The no aluminum deodorant is a no brainer too. Cheers👍👍

I have organic cotton shirts from IOAN and it’s super soft. Also, from what I read from the same company, natural dye can be uneven, so Tezomeya organic shirts using natural dyes can have those characteristics. I would say, just enjoy the shirt. It’s a nice PJ shirt for sure.

I finally pulled the trigger and ordered a un-dyed Tezomeya. Once I had a T-shirt from Go Hemp, another interesting Japanese brand, that had this kind of artisanal, hippie feel to it. It was not loop-wheeled or anything, but was very soft and comfy. And it was 55% hemp, 45% organic cotton. Anyway, looking forward to my Tezo to arrive. They said it takes about a month!

I'll just tack this on since i have a few Gustin shirts myself, their Skinny Tee's aren't too durable, i have a bunch and half of them have holes on them after like a month of wear, especially where the pocket tee is sewn own, however I do really love their Heavyweight Tees, absolute better shaping and form, but so run a bit small so size up

Everything looks great. I recently bought Barns and GraphZero t-shirts. Both Japanese, the first one is loopwheeled, second one is indigo dyed. A long delivery time from Japan, can't wait to see them.

Thanks for the update. I’ve bought a few off the back of your videos and recommendations. Gutted to see what has happened with your Tezomeya one. I have a couple of those in darker colours and am nervous that they might do the same.

@@CameronO I visited Tezomeya in Kyoto back in November and bought 4 shirts from them. All of them have been fading nicely and evenly. I think you got unlucky. I would totally recommend giving them another shot!
@garyv1483 Жыл бұрын
Any notes on how you washed them?
@nss68 Жыл бұрын
@@garyv1483 I washed them normally -- inside out and using persil detergent. I have since switched to a more natural detergent without optical brighteners and stuff, but neither have caused issues -- however, the green tezomeya shirt I have does have 1 spot where the color is light, I assumed I dripped a drop of an acidic beer or something on my chest but it could just be that one tiny spot losing dye faster than the rest. The company is awesome, though. They're so small and the fabric is incredible. The natural cotton colored shirt is one of my favorite shirts ever. It's heavy and fits SO well!

Nice review Cameron. Anything with natural dye, its good to add a bit of vinegar + salt when you wash it as it will helps retain the colour. Between, how is your SDA Fox Cotton tee going? I absolutely love mine but I haven't wear and wash mine much.

May I know what size did you get for 3sixteen Heavyweight T-Shirt White (2 Pack)? Thank you!
@alanward4671 Жыл бұрын
The only thing stopping me buying Tezomeya is the size - the largest they do would just be too snug on me. I have no issues with how yours has faded, I really like it! Can you tell me if the 3sixteen is a Large? A bit more snug than I expected. And have you tried the Dubbleworks heavy fabric pigment-dyed tee? It looks amazing but unfortunately I have vastly exceeded my t-shirt budget so it'll have to wait.

@librascorpio47387 ай бұрын
If you wash clothing with a little “ Oxi Clean versatile powder” your clothing will never bleed even if you drop something like a hot pink sock in your white laundry load. It will also slightly remove accidental “pink” color transfer from a wash mix up accident if you wash right away. I always toss a little in my laundry especially in my loads that have multicolor with white so there’s no stress wondering is it or isn’t it going to bleed. It’s a life saver.

Great video as usual Cam, what would you recommend in this type of quality T with a slightly shorter sleeve, I really don't like the long loose sleeves that come more then halfway down the arm (UES), I have to show off the guns 🙂 , but its very hard to see online where the sleeve hits.- I have a TANUKI HEAVY SHINKAI T-SHIRT on the way from RedCast so I am hoping it fits as it looks.

Absolutely love the idea of a long term update for shirts! Another Tezomeya datapoint - Like @sendmeavision below, so far I haven't had any weird fading on mine (though currently with a relatively low number of washes). Question for you (and/or other viewers) - I picked up a few various loopwheel shirts when I was recently in Japan, but none have had the same crazy soft and slubby feel as Tezomeya, so I wondered if it was because of the fox fibre fabric. I couldn't find any Studio D'Artisan fox fibre shirts in person to compare. Having both Tezomeya and Studio D'Artisan fox fibre shirts, would you say that feel is likely due to the fox fibre fabric? Would you say any of your other shirts have a similar feel?
@garyv1483 Жыл бұрын
Tezo uses fox fibre? I thought it was just organic cotton.
@nss68 Жыл бұрын
Fox fibre is more about the natural color variances than softness -- but it's a very dry texture typical of shorter staple cottons from what I've seen, although I haven't felt one broken in.

I've come to the conclusion that TK Maxx is the way for plain t shirts. I've had some really nice ones over the years and the most I've spent is about 25 quid (which I think was a John Richmond). Really like the Folk ones I've had as well as a Moss one I got in ecru. I occasionally buy second hand like a studio dartisan, merz b, real McCoy's and a Sunspel but even they I haven't spent more than 30. I'm too likely to ruin a t shirt to spend much
